     Frederick F. Stephens was born on 16 August 1830 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Justus Root Stephens and Martha Fuller.¹ Frederick F. Stephens married Emma Julia Holcombe, daughter of Harry Holcombe and Betsey Barton, on 9 January 1856 at Turkey Hills (now East Granby), Hartford Co., CT.¹ Frederick F. Stephens married Samantha Pease after June 1870.¹ Frederick F. Stephens died on 8 March 1896 at Windsor Locks, Hartford Co., CT, at age 65.¹ He was buried at Grove Cemetery, Windsor Locks, Hartford Co., CT.¹
