     William Edward Case was born on 17 March 1930 at Benzonia, Benzie Co., MI.¹ He was the son of Leonard Leach Case and Florence Martindale.¹ William Edward Case died on 2 April 2000 at Venice, Sarasota Co., FL, at age 70.^1,2

     Harvey Edson Holcombe was born on 19 November 1891.¹ He was the son of William Sherman Holcombe and Lucy Mann.¹ Harvey Edson Holcombe died on 19 February 1901 at age 9.¹

     William Dean Holcombe was born on 19 September 1892 at Hartsgrove, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ He was the son of William Sherman Holcombe and Lucy Mann. William Dean Holcombe married Marie Bernette Kotch on 26 February 1916.^2,3 William Dean Holcombe died on 29 July 1966 at Port Neches, TX, at age 73.³

     Florence Hathorne was born circa 1874. She married Leonard Edson Holcombe, son of Edson Greenlief Holcombe and Mary Helen Bulfinch, in 1894.

     Polly Smith was born say 1821.¹ She married Watson Holcombe, son of Joshua Preserve Holcombe and Sarah Griffin, on 25 September 1838.¹ Polly Smith died on 10 May 1882.¹

     Horace W. Holcombe was born in April 1838 at Hartsgrove, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Watson Holcombe and Polly Smith.¹ Horace W. Holcombe married Eliza Young, daughter of Samuel L. Young and Betsy Storm, in 1863. Horace W. Holcombe died on 12 March 1920 at Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., OH, at age 81.¹

Horace served in the Civil War in Co. K, 29th Ohio Veteran Volunteer Infantry during 1861/2 but was discharged for disability. He farmed in Saybrook until the early 1870's, when he relocated his family to the town of Jefferson. He gave his occupation as "cooper" in the 1880 census. Horace and Eliza were also enumerated in Jefferson in 1910.¹

Horace was enumerated in the 1920 Jefferson Village, Ashtabula Co., OH, federal census, living alone, age 81.

Horace died at the home of his son in Cleveland after several weeks of ill health. He had spent the greater share of his life in Jefferson Village, following the death of his wife he lived alone in his house on west Ashtabula Street for several years. He was buried in Jefferson.

     Edwin S. Holcombe was born in June 1844 at Hartsgrove, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Watson Holcombe and Polly Smith.¹ Edwin S. Holcombe married Marilla A. Adams. Edwin S. Holcombe married Florence (?) in 1899.¹ Edwin S. Holcombe died after 1910 at Jefferson, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹

Edwin's likely first marriage was to Marilla. She may have died in the 1890's as there is a deat record for Merilla Adams dated September 8, 1892. Edwin and Florence were recorded in teh 1910 census.¹

     Alvin Holcombe was born say 1845 at Hartsgrove, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Watson Holcombe and Polly Smith.¹ Alvin Holcombe died on 12 April 1867 at Saybrook, Ashtabula Co., OH; of consumption.¹

     Albert Holcombe was born in November 1847 at Hartsgrove, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Watson Holcombe and Polly Smith.¹ Albert Holcombe died after 1910 at Saybrook, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹

     Smith C. Holcombe was born in October 1851 at Hartsgrove, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Watson Holcombe and Polly Smith.¹ Smith C. Holcombe died on 20 June 1911 at Austinburg, Ashtabula Co., OH, at age 59.¹

     Pamelia Holcombe was born say 1852 at Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Watson Holcombe and Polly Smith.¹

     Anna Holcombe was born in April 1855 at Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Watson Holcombe and Polly Smith.¹

     Flora Holcombe was born say 1856 at Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Watson Holcombe and Polly Smith.¹

     Frank Holcombe was born in February 1860 at Saybrook, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Watson Holcombe and Polly Smith.¹ Frank Holcombe died on 13 February 1892 at Saybrook, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹

     Eliza Young was born in December 1834 at NY. She was the daughter of Samuel L. Young and Betsy Storm. Eliza Young married Horace W. Holcombe, son of Watson Holcombe and Polly Smith, in 1863. Eliza Young died after 1910.

     Betsy Storm was born in 1798 at NY.

     William D. Holcombe was born say 1857 at IL; based on census records. He was the son of Horace W. Holcombe and Eliza Young.

According to the 1870 census, William was born 1857/8 in Illinois and speculatively belongs to an earlier marriage of Eliza's. He does not appear in the 1870 census.¹

     Fred H. Holcombe was born say 1863.¹ He was the son of Horace W. Holcombe and Eliza Young.¹ Fred H. Holcombe died on 9 November 1870 at Saybrook, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹

     Arthur Ward Holcombe was born in December 1867 at Saybrook, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Horace W. Holcombe and Eliza Young. Arthur Ward Holcombe married Addie LaVerne Fisher, daughter of Adrian Alembert Fisher and Susan Ellen West, on 11 March 1889 at Jefferson, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ Arthur Ward Holcombe and Addie LaVerne Fisher were divorced before 1910.¹ Arthur Ward Holcombe died mid 1950's.¹

A locomotive engineer for the New York Central Railroad. In 1900, the family resided in the City of Ashtabula along with Vernie's father and Irish servant Nellie Wall. However, Arthur and Addie divorced before 1910. (ED 8)

It is unknown whether or not Arthur remarried. He was living in Niagara Falls, New York in 1945 and in Jacksonville, Florida in 1949.²

     Wesley F. Holcombe was born on 7 March 1871 at Saybrook, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Horace W. Holcombe and Eliza Young.

     Marilla A. Adams was born say 1846 at OH. She married Edwin S. Holcombe, son of Watson Holcombe and Polly Smith.

     Kyle Holcombe was born in 1873 at Jefferson, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Edwin S. Holcombe and Marilla A. Adams.¹

     Schuyler A. Holcombe was born on 13 May 1874 at Jefferson, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Edwin S. Holcombe and Marilla A. Adams. Schuyler A. Holcombe died; may have died young.
