     Frances Catherine Owen was born on 1 March 1810 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Pliny Owen and Esther Viets.¹ Frances Catherine Owen died on 1 October 1824 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT, at age 14.¹

     Milo Milton Owen was born on 3 August 1811.¹ He was the son of Pliny Owen and Esther Viets. Milo Milton Owen married Martha Abigail Alderman, daughter of Harvey Alderman and Sally Holcombe, on 12 June 1839 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.^1,2 Milo Milton Owen died on 12 August 1886 at Suffield, Hartford Co., CT, at age 75.¹

      Martha Abigail Alderman was also known as Abigail M. Alderman.² She was born on 13 March 1815 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.³ She was the daughter of Harvey Alderman and Sally Holcombe. Martha Abigail Alderman married Milo Milton Owen, son of Pliny Owen and Esther Viets, on 12 June 1839 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.^1,2 Martha Abigail Alderman died on 14 August 1885 at age 70.³

     Esther Louise Owen was born on 22 March 1815.¹ She was the daughter of Pliny Owen and Esther Viets. Esther Louise Owen married Levi C. Brown M.D. on 7 July 1834.¹ Esther Louise Owen died on 24 December 1882 at age 67.¹

     Levi C. Brown M.D. married Esther Louise Owen, daughter of Pliny Owen and Esther Viets, on 7 July 1834.¹ Levi C. Brown M.D. died in August 1882 at Painesville, Lake Co., OH.¹

     Emily Parinthia Owen was born on 22 June 1816.¹ She was the daughter of Pliny Owen and Esther Viets. Emily Parinthia Owen married Austin Durker Kibbee on 16 October 1838 at Farmington, Trumbull Co., OH.¹ Emily Parinthia Owen died on 15 October 1894 at Parkersburg, WV, at age 78.¹

     Austin Durker Kibbee was born on 6 January 1806.¹ He married Emily Parinthia Owen, daughter of Pliny Owen and Esther Viets, on 16 October 1838 at Farmington, Trumbull Co., OH.¹ Austin Durker Kibbee died on 3 May 1882 at age 76.

     Maria Hollenbeck was born on 8 November 1800.¹ She married Roger Viets, son of Lt. Luke Viets and Keziah Phelps, in 1818.¹ Maria Hollenbeck died on 3 July 1831 at Albany, Albany Co., NY, at age 30.¹

     Mary E. Allen was born circa 1802 at MD.¹ She married Roger Viets, son of Lt. Luke Viets and Keziah Phelps.¹

     Charlotte Viets was born on 4 September 1819 at probably Albany, Albany Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Roger Viets and Maria Hollenbeck.

     Luke Viets was born circa 1823 at perhaps IL. He was the son of Roger Viets and Maria Hollenbeck.

Luke was a pilot on the Illinois River.¹

     John Viets was born in 1826.¹ He was the son of Roger Viets and Maria Hollenbeck.¹

     James Viets was born in 1829.¹ He was the son of Roger Viets and Maria Hollenbeck.¹

James was listed as a law student in the 1850 census of Fulton Co., IL, in the household of Mary C. Viets, his stepmother.²

     David Yeomans Fitch was born on 3 March 1769 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Capt. James Fitch and Anne Hurlbutt.^2,3 David Yeomans Fitch married Eunice Barber, daughter of Moses Barber and Wait Loomis, on 2 August 1790 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ David Yeomans Fitch died on 6 September 1849 at Mattawan, Van Buren Co., MI, at age 80.¹

     Eunice Barber was born on 14 February 1773 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.^1,2 She was the daughter of Moses Barber and Wait Loomis.² Eunice Barber married David Yeomans Fitch, son of Capt. James Fitch and Anne Hurlbutt, on 2 August 1790 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Eunice Barber died on 22 February 1853 at age 80.

     Moses Barber was born on 2 November 1733 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Aaron Barber and Mary Douglas. Moses Barber married Wait Loomis, daughter of Jonathan Loomis and Sarah Higley.¹ Moses Barber died in 1818 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Wait Loomis was born on 14 August 1732.^1,2 She was the daughter of Jonathan Loomis and Sarah Higley. Wait Loomis married Moses Barber, son of Aaron Barber and Mary Douglas.¹

     Capt. James Fitch was born on 9 April 1739 at Windham, Windham Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Capt. John Fitch and Alice Fitch.^2,3 Capt. James Fitch married Anne Hurlbutt, daughter of Elijah Hurlbutt and Abigail Backus, on 23 May 1763 at Windham, Windham Co., CT.⁴ Capt. James Fitch died on 8 November 1815 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 76.¹

     Anne Hurlbutt was born on 14 April 1730 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Elijah Hurlbutt and Abigail Backus. Anne Hurlbutt married Capt. James Fitch, son of Capt. John Fitch and Alice Fitch, on 23 May 1763 at Windham, Windham Co., CT.¹ Anne Hurlbutt died on 2 February 1821 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 90.¹

     Capt. John Fitch was born on 18 March 1704/5 at Windham, Windham Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Capt. John Fitch and Elizabeth Waterman.² Capt. John Fitch married Alice Fitch on 25 January 1730/31 at Windham, Windham Co., CT.³ Capt. John Fitch died on 19 February 1760 at Windham, Windham Co., CT, at age 54; of smallpox.¹

     Alice Fitch was born on 30 January 1713.¹ She married Capt. John Fitch, son of Capt. John Fitch and Elizabeth Waterman, on 25 January 1730/31 at Windham, Windham Co., CT.¹ Alice Fitch died on 1 September 1796 at age 83.¹

     Capt. John Fitch was born in January 1667 at Norwich, New London Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Rev. James Fitch and Priscilla Mason.² Capt. John Fitch married Elizabeth Waterman on 10 July 1695 at Norwich, New London Co., CT.¹ Capt. John Fitch died on 24 May 1743 at Windham, Windham Co., CT, at age 76.¹

     Elizabeth Waterman was born on 6 August 1675 at Norwich, New London Co., CT.¹ She married Capt. John Fitch, son of Rev. James Fitch and Priscilla Mason, on 10 July 1695 at Norwich, New London Co., CT.¹ Elizabeth Waterman died on 24 June 1751 at Windham, Windham Co., CT, at age 75.¹

     Emma Wilder married Hiram A. Viets, son of Zopher Viets and Tracy Hillyer, in 1878.¹

     Clarissa (?) was born circa 1822. She married Hiram A. Viets, son of Zopher Viets and Tracy Hillyer.

     Royal T. Viets was born on 25 April 1881.¹ He was the son of Hiram A. Viets and Emma Wilder.¹ Royal T. Viets died on 2 November 1881.¹

     Helen Viets was born on 6 October 1873.¹ She was the daughter of Ella M. King.

     Gervase R. Viets was born on 6 October 1826 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Gervase Viets and Esther Phelps.¹ Gervase R. Viets died on 8 May 1827.¹

     Julius G. Viets was born on 29 April 1828 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Gervase Viets and Esther Phelps.

     Charles Ransom Viets was born on 15 July 1830 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Gervase Viets and Esther Phelps.

     Abigali Emeline Viets was born on 13 October 1832 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Gervase Viets and Esther Phelps.

     Virgil Eaton Viets was born on 17 March 1835 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Gervase Viets and Esther Phelps.

Virgil E. was enumerated in the 1870 East Granby, Hartford Co., CT federal census, page 2, a farmer age 35, with a family.

     Emily V. Viets was born on 9 December 1837 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Gervase Viets and Esther Phelps.

     William Ansel Viets was born on 29 July 1833 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Henry W. Viets and Lucia L. King. William Ansel Viets married Sarah F. Alderman, daughter of Solomon Flagg Alderman and Elizabeth Hastings, on 24 April 1859.² William Ansel Viets died on 22 August 1902 at age 69.³ He was buried at Elmwood Cemetery, East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.³

William resided in East Granby where he was a farmer. He was first selectman of the town for twelve consecutive years. Sarah was a graduate of New Britain Normal School and had taught school for some time previous to her marriage. She was the oldest member of the East Granby Congregational Church.⁴

Sarah was enumerated in the 1920 East Granby Census, page 2A, line 3, in the household of her son, Charles.

     George Luke Viets was born on 6 September 1835.¹ He was the son of Henry W. Viets and Lucia L. King.

     Marietta Louisa Viets was born on 11 September 1837.¹ She was the daughter of Henry W. Viets and Lucia L. King.

     Henrietta Elizabeth Viets was born on 6 September 1839.¹ She was the daughter of Henry W. Viets and Lucia L. King.

     Franklin Phelps was the son of Eaton Phelps and Abigail Viets. Franklin Phelps died at age six years.¹

     Abigail Phelps was born on 4 March 1835 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Eaton Phelps and Abigail Viets. Abigail Phelps married Joseph A. Root on 18 September 1853.¹ Abigail Phelps died on 21 January 1884 at age 48.¹

     Joseph A. Root married Abigail Phelps, daughter of Eaton Phelps and Abigail Viets, on 18 September 1853.¹ Joseph A. Root died on 28 April 1906.¹

     Sarah Minerva Root was born on 6 March 1814 at New Hartford, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ She married Ansel Viets, son of Luke Viets Jr. and Abigail Phelps, on 3 June 1838.¹ Sarah Minerva Root died in 1881 at Sandisfield, MA.¹

     Henry Jarvis Viets was born on 12 February 1844 at Tolland, MA.¹ He was the son of Ansel Viets and Sarah Minerva Root.

     Huldah Sarah Phelps was born in March 1837.¹ She was the daughter of Eaton Phelps and Jane Viets.¹ Huldah Sarah Phelps died in September 1864 at age 27; unmarried.¹

     Franklin Phelps was born in May 1839.¹ He was the son of Eaton Phelps and Jane Viets.¹ Franklin Phelps died in February 1889 at age 49; married, no children.¹
