     Frederick Griswold was baptized on 26 April 1767 at Wintonbury Congregational Church, Wintonbury (now Bloomfield), Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Noah Griswold and Azubah Strong.¹ Frederick Griswold died on 15 November 1829 at age 62.¹ He was buried at Old Bloomfield Cemetery, Bloomfield, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Noah Griswold was baptized on 15 September 1771 at Wintonbury Congregational Church, Wintonbury (now Bloomfield), Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Noah Griswold and Azubah Strong.¹ Noah Griswold married Rhoda Pinney, daughter of Abraham Pinney and Lucretia Barnard.¹ Noah Griswold died on 8 October 1849 at age 78.¹ He was buried at Old Bloomfield Cemetery, Wintonbury (now Bloomfield), Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Rhoda Pinney was baptized on 13 June 1773.¹ She was the daughter of Abraham Pinney and Lucretia Barnard. Rhoda Pinney married Noah Griswold, son of Noah Griswold and Azubah Strong.¹ Rhoda Pinney died on 2 April 1865 at age 91.¹ She was buried at Old Bloomfield Cemetery, Wintonbury (now Bloomfield), Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Azubah Griswold was baptized on 14 May 1775 at Wintonbury Congregational Church, Wintonbury (now Bloomfield), Hartford Co., CT.² She was the daughter of Noah Griswold and Azubah Strong.¹ Azubah Griswold married Levi Griswold, son of George Griswold and Mary Hayden.³ Azubah Griswold died on 18 June 1841 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 66.⁴

     Hezekiah Griswold was baptized on 25 January 1778 at Wintonbury Congregational Church, Wintonbury (now Bloomfield), Hartford Co., CT.² He was the son of Noah Griswold and Azubah Strong.¹

     Abner Weller married Mercy Griswold, daughter of Hezekiah Griswold and Sarah Barnard, on 1 April 1784 at First Congregational Church, Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Abner Weller died before 30 March 1802.¹

     Laura B. (?) was born say 1849 at MD. She married Frederick Augustus Norton, son of Harvey Norton and Frances Marian Austin.

     John R. Norton was born say 1866 at KS. He was the son of Frederick Augustus Norton and Laura B. (?).

     Loretta W. Norton was born say 1869 at KS. She was the daughter of Frederick Augustus Norton and Laura B. (?).

     Cynthia Persons was born on 18 January 1837 at Sheldon, Wyoming Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of James Persons and Diana Humphrey.¹

Cynthia and her family lived (1884) in East Aurora, Erie Co., NY.²

     Frank J. Higgins was born circa 1865.¹ He was the son of M. Higgins and Cynthia Persons.¹

     May E. Higgins was born circa 1869.¹ She was the daughter of M. Higgins and Cynthia Persons.¹

     Lucy J. Persons was born on 18 February 1839 at Sheldon, Wyoming Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of James Persons and Diana Humphrey.¹ Lucy J. Persons married Lieut. O. J. Gardner on 10 November 1864 at Houston Co., MN.¹

Cynthia's husband enlisted, as a private soldier, in the 8th Missouri Reg. (Zouaves), and was in the battles of Vicksburgh, Pittsburgh Landing, and Fort Donelson. After his discharge he helped to raise a company and, 3 Apr. 1865, was commissioned First Lieutenant of Co. G, 1st Reg. Minn. Vol. Infantry.

He has been for several years Chief of the Fire Department in East Aurora, where he now resides; also Notary Public, and for ten years in succession Town Clerk. Resided (1884) Willink, Erie Co., N.Y.²

     Lieut. O. J. Gardner was born on 5 February 1842 at Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., OH.¹ He married Lucy J. Persons, daughter of James Persons and Diana Humphrey, on 10 November 1864 at Houston Co., MN.¹

     Charles A. Gardner was born on 29 August 1866.¹ He was the son of Lieut. O. J. Gardner and Lucy J. Persons.¹

     Minnie S. Gardner was born on 30 June 1869.¹ She was the daughter of Lieut. O. J. Gardner and Lucy J. Persons.¹

     James O. Gardner was born on 10 December 1873.¹ He was the son of Lieut. O. J. Gardner and Lucy J. Persons.¹

     Harriet L. Persons was born on 25 February 1846 at East Aurora, Erie Co., NY. She was the daughter of James Persons and Diana Humphrey.

     Mary E. Persons was born on 26 September 1849 at East Aurora, Erie Co., NY. She was the daughter of James Persons and Diana Humphrey. Mary E. Persons married J. B. Holcombe on 29 June 1869.

In 1884 they were living in Bloomington, Ill. and had several children.¹

     Wolcott Humphrey Persons was born on 14 January 1852 at East Aurora, Erie Co., NY.¹ He was the son of James Persons and Diana Humphrey.¹

     J. B. Holcombe married Mary E. Persons, daughter of James Persons and Diana Humphrey, on 29 June 1869.

     Esther Higley was born on 19 September 1743 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Brewster Higley Jr. and Hester Holcombe.¹

     Joel Higley was born on 1 August 1739 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Brewster Higley Jr. and Hester Holcombe.¹

     Brewster Higley III was born on 3 March 1734/35 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Brewster Higley Jr. and Hester Holcombe.¹ Brewster Higley III married Esther Owen, daughter of John Owen and Esther Humphrey, on 7 April 1757 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.² Brewster Higley III died on 11 April 1805 at Castleton, Rutland Co., VT, at age 70.²

     Rhoda Higley was born in 1783 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.² She was the daughter of Seth Higley and Mindwell Higley. Rhoda Higley married Pliny Humphrey, son of Deacon Theophilus Humphrey and Hepzibah Cornish, on 29 October 1800 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Rhoda Higley died on 15 September 1867 at Riley Co., KS.¹

They settled in Canton, Ct; removed from thence, in teh fall fo 1839, to Attica, Wyoming Co., N.Y. He was a farmer. In 1866 Rhoda went with her son Myron to Riley County, Kansas, where she died.³

     Sarah Humphrey was born in 1786.¹ She was the daughter of Lot Humphrey and Chloe Moses.¹ Sarah Humphrey married Robert Case, son of George Case and Rhoda Pierce.² Sarah Humphrey died on 28 June 1817.²

     Robert Case was baptized in September 1784 at Wintonbury Congregational Church, Wintonbury (now Bloomfield), Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of George Case and Rhoda Pierce. Robert Case married Sarah Humphrey, daughter of Lot Humphrey and Chloe Moses.¹ Robert Case died at Bloomfield, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Alvin Humphrey was born on 17 August 1790 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Deacon Alvin Humphrey and Almira Case.¹

     Ansel Humphrey was born on 1 June 1792 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Deacon Alvin Humphrey and Almira Case.¹ Ansel Humphrey died on 21 April 1873 at age 80.¹

     Milton Humphrey was born on 23 February 1794 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Deacon Alvin Humphrey and Almira Case.¹ Milton Humphrey died on 23 April 1857 at age 63.¹

     Almira Humphrey was born on 3 December 1795.¹ She was the daughter of Deacon Alvin Humphrey and Almira Case.¹ Almira Humphrey married Correl Humphrey, son of Capt. Frederick Humphrey and Ruth Tuller, on 28 January 1817.² Almira Humphrey married John Baker on 19 May 1840 at Fulton, Whiteside Co., IL.

After the death of John, Almira resided with her daughter, Mrs. Ellen (Humphrey) Phelps, at Fulton, Ill.³

     Correl Humphrey was born on 22 May 1795 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Capt. Frederick Humphrey and Ruth Tuller. Correl Humphrey married Almira Humphrey, daughter of Deacon Alvin Humphrey and Almira Case, on 28 January 1817.¹ Correl Humphrey died on 1 April 1835 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT, at age 39.¹

Ansel Humphrey and Almira Humphrey were appointed administrators of the estate of Correl Humphrey of Canton, April 18th, 1835; inventory taken; amount, $4,693.56; six months allowed to creditors. July 1st 1836, a guardian was appointed for the daughters Eunetia and ellen who were aged, respectively, about fifteen and eight years. Almira remarried and lived in Fulton, IL.²

      Ella Eveline Burroughs was also known as Ella Burris. She was born on 20 September 1858. She married Daniel Rufus Holcombe, son of Daniel Kellogg Holcombe and Julia Ann Oliver, on 4 July 1872 at Ripley Co., IN.¹ Ella Eveline Burroughs died on 28 December 1899 at age 41.
