     Mary Moore was born on 19 January 1866. She was the daughter of Alanson Moore and Mary Bailey Ellsworth.

     Aaron Farnham was born on 25 July 1774. He was the son of Abner Farnham and Elizabeth Wilcox. Aaron Farnham married Florella Strong, daughter of Rev. Cyprian Strong DD and Sarah Bull, on 18 March 1798. Aaron Farnham died in March 1860 at age 85.

     Florella Strong was born on 17 February 1779. She was the daughter of Rev. Cyprian Strong DD and Sarah Bull. Florella Strong married Aaron Farnham, son of Abner Farnham and Elizabeth Wilcox, on 18 March 1798.

     Martha Eliza Farnham was born on 8 October 1825.¹ She was the daughter of Evelyn Hart Farnham and Martha Ellsworth.¹

     Flora Strong Farnham was born on 8 January 1828.¹ She was the daughter of Evelyn Hart Farnham and Martha Ellsworth.¹

     Julia Maria Farnham was born on 1 April 1831.¹ She was the daughter of Evelyn Hart Farnham and Martha Ellsworth.¹

     Evelyn Hart Farnham was born on 8 September 1833.² He was the son of Evelyn Hart Farnham and Martha Ellsworth.¹

     William Davenport Farnham was born on 26 July 1835.¹ He was the son of Evelyn Hart Farnham and Martha Ellsworth.¹ William Davenport Farnham died soon.¹

     Amelia Ann Farnham was born on 30 June 1838.¹ She died soon.¹ She was the daughter of Evelyn Hart Farnham and Martha Ellsworth.¹

     Frederic Ellsworth Farnham was born on 8 May 1844.¹ He was the son of Evelyn Hart Farnham and Martha Ellsworth.¹ Frederic Ellsworth Farnham died soon.

     Frederic Ellsworth Farnham II was born on 12 September 1846.¹ He was the son of Evelyn Hart Farnham and Martha Ellsworth.¹

     Lydia North married Ensign Samuel Humphrey, son of Lt. Samuel Humphrey and Mary Mills, in December 1714. Lydia North died on 8 August 1730.

     Lieut. Samuel Humphrey was born on 15 October 1710 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Ensign Samuel Humphrey and Hannah Phelps. Lieut. Samuel Humphrey married Mary Wilcox, daughter of Joseph Wilcox and Abigail Thrall, on 27 December 1731. Lieut. Samuel Humphrey died on 7 July 1755 at age 44.

     Mary Wilcox was born in 1719. She was the daughter of Joseph Wilcox and Abigail Thrall. Mary Wilcox married Lieut. Samuel Humphrey, son of Ensign Samuel Humphrey and Hannah Phelps, on 27 December 1731. Mary Wilcox died in 1756.

     Deacon Theophilus Humphrey was born in 1744.¹ He was the son of Lieut. Samuel Humphrey and Mary Wilcox.¹ Deacon Theophilus Humphrey married Hepzibah Cornish, daughter of Elisha Cornish and Hepzibah Humphrey, in 1761. Deacon Theophilus Humphrey married Diana Averitt. Deacon Theophilus Humphrey died in 1826.¹

"Theophilus removed from the old parish to West Simsbury (now Canton), Ct., about 1764, and settled in the south-east part of the town. He afterward returned to Simsbury, and there resided a few years; in 1782, again removed to West simsbury. He was a tanner by occupation. He went to Havanna in 1762, in the company commanded by Capt. Noah Humphrey, of which so few members survived to return to their homes. He became an influential citizen in Canton; was the first deacon of the First Congregational Church in that town, and continued to fill that office for many years. He was under the ministry of Rev. Jeremiah Hallock, and his Christian character is noticed in the published biography of that eminent devine. He was a man of great energy and activity, and of small stature. At the age of seventy-five years he is said to have been able to climb over the hills and mountains of his neighborhood as actively as most young men.

"His will was dated Aug. 4th 1823, and proved Apr. 12th, 1826; mentions wife Diana, sons James, Alvin, theophilus, Loin, Pliny and Dudley; daus. Hepzibah and Thede; gr.son Chester Humphrey; gr.daus Amelia and Eliza Barber. Inventory taken; amount, $2627.01. April 28th, 1836, distribution was made to the widow Diana and son Pliny, as directed by will." -- Frederick Humphreys.

     Hepzibah Cornish was born say 1742. She was the daughter of Elisha Cornish and Hepzibah Humphrey. Hepzibah Cornish married Deacon Theophilus Humphrey, son of Lieut. Samuel Humphrey and Mary Wilcox, in 1761. Hepzibah Cornish died in 1800.

     Hon. Loin Humphrey was born on 31 December 1777 at West Simsbury (now Canton), Hartford Co., CT.² He was the son of Deacon Theophilus Humphrey and Hepzibah Cornish. Hon. Loin Humphrey married Rhoda Case, daughter of Hosea Case and Rhoda Case, on 18 October 1798 at West Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Hon. Loin Humphrey died on 16 November 1854 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT, at age 76.²

"Loin resided in Canton, Ct; was an enterprising and successful farmer, and possessed a fine estate. He was a man of talents and influence, and much respected and esteemed; was for twenty years or more a Justice of the Peace, having been appointed in 1831; and served twice in the Legislature of Connecticut, in 1824 and 1829; was first selectman three or four years, and held other minor offices; had the title of Captain." ³

     Rhoda Case was born on 14 April 1780 at West Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Hosea Case and Rhoda Case. Rhoda Case married Hon. Loin Humphrey, son of Deacon Theophilus Humphrey and Hepzibah Cornish, on 18 October 1798 at West Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Rhoda Case died on 22 October 1847 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT, at age 67.^1,2

     Harry Phelps Eno was born on 10 June 1879. He was the son of Aaron Lewis Eno and Harriette Humphrey Phelps. Harry Phelps Eno married Mary O'Meara.

Harry and Mary were recorded in the 1920 Simsbury CT census (ED 182, Page 2B, Line 95.

     Mary O'Meara was born on 25 June 1879. She married Harry Phelps Eno, son of Aaron Lewis Eno and Harriette Humphrey Phelps. Mary O'Meara died on 5 June 1962 at age 82.

     Jane Humphrey Eno was born on 12 June 1875 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Aaron Lewis Eno and Harriette Humphrey Phelps.

     Sarah Goodwin Eno was born on 25 January 1877 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Aaron Lewis Eno and Harriette Humphrey Phelps.

     Loin Harmon Humphrey was born on 13 July 1799.¹ He was the son of Hon. Loin Humphrey and Rhoda Case.¹

     Eunice Delight Humphrey was born on 2 April 1803. She was the daughter of Hon. Loin Humphrey and Rhoda Case. Eunice Delight Humphrey married Pomeroy Higley, son of Obed Higley and Rebecca Mills, on 7 August 1821.² Eunice Delight Humphrey died on 27 September 1875 at age 72.

Pomeroy was na energetic business man and accumulated a property worht $50,000 or more, which he left to his family.³

     Hosea Sherman Humphrey was born on 21 December 1805.¹ He was the son of Hon. Loin Humphrey and Rhoda Case.¹ Hosea Sherman Humphrey died on 16 February 1809 at age 3.¹

     Hosea Dayton Humphrey was born on 3 August 1809.¹ He was the son of Hon. Loin Humphrey and Rhoda Case.¹ Hosea Dayton Humphrey died on 18 September 1845 at age 36.¹

     Hon. Warren Canfield Humphrey was born on 30 May 1811. He was the son of Hon. Loin Humphrey and Rhoda Case. Hon. Warren Canfield Humphrey married Mary A. Adams, daughter of Gen. Ezra Adams, on 4 September 1835.¹ Hon. Warren Canfield Humphrey married Eliza Ann Moses on 3 April 1844.¹

Mr. Humphrey was one of the first pioneers in the Antislavery movement, and was a member of the first Antislavery Convention held in Hartford in the winter of 1835 or '36, when the members were driven from the City Hall and compelled to take private quarters. This was soon after the murder of Mr. E. P. Lovejoy, in alton, Illinois, whose brother addressed the Convention. For several years Mr. Humphrey was the youngest man in Hartford County who was identified with this cause, and was on of three who first voted the Antislavery ticket in Canton. He was the last candidate of the Free-soil party, for Senator of the Third District in Connecticut, before the organization of the republican party. He has twice represented his town in the State Legislature, in 1859 and 1872, and has held minor offices continuously; was several years Justice of the Peace, until he declined the appointment.

Mr. Humphrey has been for many years a well-known vocalist and music teacher; has been a member of the Congregational church in Canton Center for forty-seven years; a deacon in the church for the past twenty-five years; a member of the choir for sixty years, serving as chorister forty years, having been chosen to that position at the age of eighteen. though now advanced in life, he is a regular attendant upon church services, and deeply interested in all matters pertaining to the welfare of man and the interests of Christ's kingdom. Resided in 1884, Canton Center, CT.²

     Rhoda Florinda Humphrey was born on 18 October 1814.¹ She was the daughter of Hon. Loin Humphrey and Rhoda Case.¹ Rhoda Florinda Humphrey married Ben Taylor Ristine, son of Henry Ristine and Nancy Gray, on 17 August 1837 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT.²

Rhoda and Ben resided (1884) in Crawfordsville, Ind. He was a lawyer.³

     Sarah Eleanor Humphrey was born on 25 February 1819. She was the daughter of Hon. Loin Humphrey and Rhoda Case. Sarah Eleanor Humphrey died on 15 April 1837 at unmarried at age 18.

     Susan Maria Humphrey was born on 6 April 1820. She was the daughter of Hon. Loin Humphrey and Rhoda Case. Susan Maria Humphrey married Hon. Oliver C. Adams, son of Gen. Ezra Adams, on 2 September 1841.¹

Oliver was a member of the Legislature; and for twenty years Justice of the Peace. Was also selectman for a number of years, and held other minor offices in the town of Canton, CT. Resided in 1884 in Norht Canton.²

     Eliza Lavinia Humphrey was born on 26 August 1825. She was the daughter of Hon. Loin Humphrey and Rhoda Case. Eliza Lavinia Humphrey died on 21 October 1840 at age 15.

     Diana Averitt was born in 1752. She married Deacon Theophilus Humphrey, son of Lieut. Samuel Humphrey and Mary Wilcox. Diana Averitt died in 1843.

     Deacon Alvin Humphrey was born on 2 December 1769 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Deacon Theophilus Humphrey and Hepzibah Cornish. Deacon Alvin Humphrey married Almira Case, daughter of James Case and Phebe Tuller.² Deacon Alvin Humphrey died on 26 February 1847 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT, at age 77.

     Almira Case was born on 13 June 1769.¹ She was the daughter of James Case and Phebe Tuller. Almira Case married Deacon Alvin Humphrey, son of Deacon Theophilus Humphrey and Hepzibah Cornish.¹ Almira Case died on 14 October 1832 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT, at age 63.¹

Alvin was a farmer. After the death of his father, he was appointed a deacon in his place, and so remained through life; was a man of eminent piety and exerted a great influence in the town and church. He capably filled many places of trust and honor; was Representative from Canton to the General Assembly in 1821. He was also Justice of the Peace. He bore the title of Captain on account of his military services.²
