     Pelatiah Phinney was born on 21 March 1710/11 at Plympton, Plymouth Co., MA. He was the son of Joseph Phinney and Ester West. Pelatiah Phinney married Mercy Washburn on 28 December 1738 at Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA. Pelatiah Phinney died after 1761 at Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA.

     Mercy Washburn was born on 29 May 1718 at Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA. She married Pelatiah Phinney, son of Joseph Phinney and Ester West, on 28 December 1738 at Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA. Mercy Washburn died after 5 October 1761 at Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA.

     Joseph Phinney was born on 26 January 1666/67 at Eastham, Barnstable Co., MA. He was the son of John Phinney Jr. and Mary Rogers. Joseph Phinney married Ester West on 19 September 1706 at Plympton, Plymouth Co., MA. Joseph Phinney died on 29 June 1726 at Plympton, Plymouth Co., MA, at age 59.

     Ester West was born on 30 September 1680 at Duxbury, Plymouth Co., MA. She married Joseph Phinney, son of John Phinney Jr. and Mary Rogers, on 19 September 1706 at Plympton, Plymouth Co., MA. Ester West died in 1778 at Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA.

     John Phinney Jr. was born on 24 December 1638 at Plympton, Plymouth Co., MA. He was the son of John Phinney and Christina Patten. John Phinney Jr. married Mary Rogers on 10 August 1664 at Barnstable, Barnstable Co., MA. John Phinney Jr. died on 19 April 1718 at Barnstable, Barnstable Co., MA, at age 79.

     Mary Rogers was born on 22 September 1644 at Duxbury, Plymouth Co., MA. She married John Phinney Jr., son of John Phinney and Christina Patten, on 10 August 1664 at Barnstable, Barnstable Co., MA. Mary Rogers died after 19 April 1718.

     John Phinney was born on 15 March 1603/4 at Lenton, Notinghamshire, England. He married Christina Patten on 22 November 1636 at Lenton, Notinghamshire, England. John Phinney died on 6 January 1686/87 at Swanson, MA, at age 82.

     Christina Patten was born before 23 November 1608 at Notinghamshire, England. She married John Phinney on 22 November 1636 at Lenton, Notinghamshire, England. Christina Patten died on 9 September 1649 at Plymouth, Plymouth Co., MA.

     James R. Griner was born in 1847. He was the son of Michael Griner and Jane Hayden.

     Andrew H. Griner was born in 1849. He was the son of Michael Griner and Jane Hayden.

     Julia A. Griner was born in 1852. She was the daughter of Michael Griner and Jane Hayden.

     Helen Hayden was born on 5 August 1812. She was the daughter of Moses Hayden and Sally Jenkins. Helen Hayden died in 1843.

     Dr. Edwin Hayden was born on 7 May 1814 at Barkhamsted, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Moses Hayden and Sally Jenkins.¹

     Lavina Hayden was born on 15 July 1815. She was the daughter of Moses Hayden and Sally Jenkins.

     Samuel Sheriden Hayden was born on 9 November 1822 at Bethany, Wayne Co., PA. He was the son of Moses Hayden and Sally Jenkins. Samuel Sheriden Hayden lived in 1886 at MI.

He early became intemperate, has led an aimless life; is industrious and kind-hearted.

     Hannah Hopkins was born say 1791. She married Aaron Hayden, son of Aaron Hayden and Sarah Rice, in 1810. Hannah Hopkins died on 10 September 1866.

     Joel H. Hayden was born in 1812. He was the son of Aaron Hayden and Hannah Hopkins. Joel H. Hayden died on 1 June 1831.

     Polly Hayden was born in July 1813. She was the daughter of Aaron Hayden and Hannah Hopkins. Polly Hayden died in 1873.

     Sarah Hayden was born in 1815.¹ She was the daughter of Aaron Hayden and Hannah Hopkins.¹ Sarah Hayden died in 1875.¹

     Aaron M. Hayden was born in November 1816.¹ He was the son of Aaron Hayden and Hannah Hopkins.¹ Aaron M. Hayden died on 9 May 1817.¹

     Sibyl Hayden was born in 1818.¹ She was the daughter of Aaron Hayden and Hannah Hopkins.¹

     Aaron's brother Joel wrote for the Hayden Genealogy:

"Aaron was a farmer and carpenter. He was not a success in a financial way, but why I never could tell, as he was very industrious and had no bad habits. He enlisted in the 16th N.Y. Heavy Artillery in the winter of 1863-4, and served to the close of the war. Was on garrison duty most of the time and never saw a rebel with a gun in his hand, but came home on crutches from exposure on picket duty. He applied for a pension, which did not come till after his death, when his widow received $1,400, with which she bought the home where they (the family) now (1887) reside. While my brother was not a success financially, he did succeed in raising a decent family, which is more than some rich men accomplish." Aaron Hayden was born on 15 June 1820.¹ He was the son of Aaron Hayden and Hannah Hopkins.¹ Aaron Hayden died on 15 November 1878 at age 58.¹

     Betsey Hayden was born in 1822.¹ She was the daughter of Aaron Hayden and Hannah Hopkins.¹ Betsey Hayden died on 10 June 1835.¹

     Lavinia Hayden was born in 1824.¹ She was the daughter of Aaron Hayden and Hannah Hopkins.¹

     Edwin I. Hayden was born in May 1828. He was the son of Aaron Hayden and Hannah Hopkins. Edwin I. Hayden died in 1830.

     Joel wrote for the Hayden Geneaolgy:

"In regard to myself, I was born on the old homestead, where Aaron of Conway settled, and have not been away from it over two weeks at a time in my life. Taught school some ten winters, learned the machinist's trade, bought out the other heirs at my father's decease, as he had done before me, consequently have enough old traps to stock a museum. I never expect to accumulate much filthy lucre. Was born a Whig, and was in at the birth of the Republican party. Am now on the divide between a Mugwump and a Prohibitionist. I am the odd Hayden in these parts, being the only one who amounts to much on the scales, 260 pounds is my figure, and bald-headed like the rest, -- in fact, the Haydens are born so here." Joel E. Hayden was born on 12 May 1832.¹ He was the son of Aaron Hayden and Hannah Hopkins.¹ Joel E. Hayden married Elizabeth Barnett on 12 March 1857.

     Martin Hayden was born in 1816.¹ He was the son of Martin Hayden and Serena Southard.¹ Martin Hayden died in 1862.

     Jabez Hayden in one place calls Martin's wife "Clara Wellby" and in another "Clarissa Wethey." Martin Hayden was born on 17 July 1819 at Auburn, Cayuga Co., NY.¹ He was the son of William Hayden and Julia Bostford.¹ Martin Hayden died on 26 April 1883 at age 63.

     William, while residing in Mentz, Cayuga County, served five or six years as supervisor, the last year as chairman. He now, 1886, resides in Auburn (NY). Jabez Hayden. William Hayden was born on 8 April 1821 at Port Byron, Cayuga Co., NY. He was the son of William Hayden and Julia Bostford.

     Ezra B. Hayden was born on 12 December 1822. He was the son of William Hayden and Julia Bostford.

     George Hayden was born on 2 January 1825. He was the son of William Hayden and Julia Bostford.

     Charles H. Hayden was born on 15 November 1826. He was the son of William Hayden and Julia Bostford.

     Hester Hayden was born on 9 May 1829. She was the daughter of William Hayden and Julia Bostford.

     John Hayden was born on 28 November 1835. He was the son of William Hayden and Julia Bostford.

     Samuel Hayden was born on 16 August 1837.¹ He was the son of William Hayden and Julia Bostford.¹ Samuel Hayden died on 16 March 1878 at age 40.¹

From an obituary cited in the Hayden Genealogy:

"Died at his residence, near Port Byron, of consumption, Samuel Hayden, in the forty-first year of his age.

"He was the youngest of seven brothers, and the six surviving brothers acted as his pall-bearers. His sickness had been of some years' standing, but his own family had nursed him through it all, and it seemed fitting that those of his own kin should lower him to his last resting-place. Mr. Hayden was formerly a lawyer, but on account of failing health turned his attention to agriculture. He had written quite extensively for agricultural papers, and at one time was manufacturer of the celebrated 'no shoddy' wollen goods, and was known all over the country.

     Julia Hayden was born on 24 March 1844. She was the daughter of William Hayden and Julia Bostford. Julia Hayden died on 24 November 1860 at age 16.
