     Kate Lawrence was born. She was the daughter of Andrew J. Lawrence and Isabelle Holcombe.

     Charles Lawrence was born. He was the son of Andrew J. Lawrence and Isabelle Holcombe.

     Burnett Lawrence was born. He was the son of Andrew J. Lawrence and Isabelle Holcombe.

     Floyd Lawrence was born. He was the son of Andrew J. Lawrence and Isabelle Holcombe.

     Francis L. Viets was born circa 1829. He was the son of Simeon Smith Viets Jr. and Betsey Holcombe. Francis L. Viets married Genette E. Barnes, daughter of Allen Barnes and Emeline (?), on 9 May 1852 at "home of the bride", Granby, Hartford Co., CT. Francis L. Viets died on 5 November 1865. He was buried at Center Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.²

Francis and Jenette were enumerated in the 1860 Granby, Hartford Co., CT, census with Lilla and his brother Shirgley.

     Cornelia Theodora Viets was born in 1830 or 1831 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Simeon Smith Viets Jr. and Betsey Holcombe. Cornelia Theodora Viets married William Boyle on 11 July 1851 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.

     Henry C. Viets was born circa 1842. He was the son of Simeon Smith Viets Jr. and Betsey Holcombe. Henry C. Viets died in 1859.

     Genette E. Barnes was born circa 1830 at CT. She was the daughter of Allen Barnes and Emeline (?). Genette E. Barnes married Francis L. Viets, son of Simeon Smith Viets Jr. and Betsey Holcombe, on 9 May 1852 at "home of the bride", Granby, Hartford Co., CT. Genette E. Barnes died. She was buried on 13 October 1873 at Center Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Francis I. Viets witnessed GUARDIANSHIP in 1869.

     Lilla C. Viets was born on 16 November 1853. She was the daughter of Francis L. Viets and Genette E. Barnes.

     Francis I. Viets was born in 1864. He was the son of Francis L. Viets and Genette E. Barnes. Francis I. Viets took guardianship in 1869. He took guardianship in 1880.

     William Boyle was born say 1833 at Southwick, Hampden Co., MA. He married Cornelia Theodora Viets, daughter of Simeon Smith Viets Jr. and Betsey Holcombe, on 11 July 1851 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. William Boyle died in 1913.

     It is not known which of Simeon's wives bore his children. Simeon Smith Viets was baptized on 2 April 1775 at Salmon Brook Ecclesiastical Society, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Seth Viets and Ruth Smith. Simeon Smith Viets died in 1838.

     Seth Viets was born on 26 May 1740 at Newgate Hill, Simsbury, CT. He was the son of Capt. John Viets and Lois Phelps. Seth Viets married Ruth Smith, daughter of Simeon Smith and Ruth Harmon, on 12 November 1769 at Turkey Hills Parish, Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. Seth Viets died on 4 January 1825 at Pawlet, VT, at age 84.

     Ruth Smith was born on 23 September 1753. She was the daughter of Simeon Smith and Ruth Harmon. Ruth Smith married Seth Viets, son of Capt. John Viets and Lois Phelps, on 12 November 1769 at Turkey Hills Parish, Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.

     Col. Jonathan Humphrey was born on 8 June 1715 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Jonathan Humphrey and Mercy Ruggles. Col. Jonathan Humphrey married Desire Owen, daughter of Sergt. John Owen and Hannah Marshall, on 11 January 1738/39. Col. Jonathan Humphrey married Lois Phelps, daughter of Nathaniel Phelps and Lois (?), in 1778. Col. Jonathan Humphrey died on 13 September 1794 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT, at age 79.

     Milton Griffin was born on 4 December 1809.² He was the son of Aristarchus Griffin and Jael Gillet.² Milton Griffin married Adeline Holcombe, daughter of Harvey Holcombe and Catherine Case, on 1 May 1838. Milton Griffin married Harriet Newell Viets, daughter of Dan Viets and Beula Phelps, on 25 April 1852 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. Milton Griffin died on 18 January 1901 at age 91.² He was buried at Copper Hill Cemetery, East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.²

     Charles Fleming Griffin was born in 1874. He was the son of Gilbert Benjamin Griffin and Margaret Gray Fleming. Charles Fleming Griffin died in 1954.

     Henry Thompson Griffin was born in 1914. He was the son of Charles Fleming Griffin and Gertrude S. Crane. Henry Thompson Griffin married Betsy Johnson. Henry Thompson Griffin died in 1984.

     Betsy Johnson was born in 1923. She married Henry Thompson Griffin, son of Charles Fleming Griffin and Gertrude S. Crane. Betsy Johnson died in 1985.

     George Watson Viets was born on 2 December 1809 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.² He was the son of Capt. George Viets and Charlotte Rice. George Watson Viets married Delia E. King.³ George Watson Viets died on 1 December 1864 at age 54.² He was buried at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.⁴

George was a farmer and resided in the stone house built by his father near the schoolhouse on the Granby and East Granby road.²

George W. and Delia were enumerated in the 1860 East Granby, Hartford Co., CT, federal census. He was a farmer age 50, she was 50. Children in the household were George B. 23, Antoinette C. 20, and Alfred W. 9.

     Delia E. King was born on 6 June 1810.¹ She married George Watson Viets, son of Capt. George Viets and Charlotte Rice.² Delia E. King died on 24 May 1865 at age 54.¹

     Capt. George Viets was born on 12 February 1788 at Capt. John Viets' house at Newgate, Simsbury, CT.² He was the son of Lt. Luke Viets and Keziah Phelps. Capt. George Viets married Charlotte Rice on 16 February 1809. Capt. George Viets died on 3 May 1863 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 75.

George was captain of a training band, a thrifty farmer, and carried on an extensive business in gravestones. He built the stonehouse occupied for many years by his son George Watson. He was a promoter of good roads. His account book shows that he furnished a large amount of material for repairs at the prison. Likewise it showed that he hauled ore from the copper mines to the Farmington Canal when the mines were reopened about 1830. He was one of the few descendants of Captain John Viets, aside from the descendants of the Reverend Roger, who was of the Episcopal faith.

Georeg and Charlotte lived during their later years in Windsor, where both died. They, as well as four infants (no dates), are buried in the East Granby Cemetery.³

     Charlotte Rice was born on 13 September 1787 at Suffield, Hartford Co., CT. She married Capt. George Viets, son of Lt. Luke Viets and Keziah Phelps, on 16 February 1809. Charlotte Rice died on 21 April 1862 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 74.

     Lt. Luke Viets was born on 6 June 1759. He was the son of Capt. John Viets and Lois Phelps. Lt. Luke Viets married Keziah Phelps, daughter of Ezekiel Phelps and Elizabeth Gillette, on 30 June 1777. Lt. Luke Viets died on 25 February 1835 at age 75.
