She was cremated at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., CA.

     Joseph D. Eness was born in 1861 at Ada, MI. He married Harriette H. Karr, daughter of William M. Karr and Statira Alvira Wagner, on 25 December 1886 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI.

     Clara Eness was born at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. She was the daughter of Joseph D. Eness and Harriette H. Karr.

     It is reported that Joseph was married and that he was an accomplished pianist and he performed on stage. Joseph Eness was born at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. He was the son of Joseph D. Eness and Harriette H. Karr.

     Willard Warren Armstrong was born on 25 December 1869 at Logansport, Cass Co., IN. He was the son of Jacob M. Armstrong and Mary H. Deisch. Willard Warren Armstrong married Sarah Alvira Wynkoop, daughter of George W. Wynkoop and Kathryn Karr, on 8 August 1894 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI.

     J. George Armstrong was born on 20 August 1901 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. He was the son of Willard Warren Armstrong and Sarah Alvira Wynkoop. J. George Armstrong died on 5 March 1902 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. He was buried at Oakhill Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI.

     Kathryne Mary Armstrong was born on 20 June 1903.¹ She was the daughter of Willard Warren Armstrong and Sarah Alvira Wynkoop. Kathryne Mary Armstrong married Raymond Thomas York on 8 May 1926. Kathryne Mary Armstrong died on 28 April 1987 at Hudsonville, MI, at age 83.¹ She was buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayland, MI.

Kathryne graduated from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, and was an elementary public school teacher for 30 years until her retirement. They resided in Maryland, Oklahoma, and Michigan. During WWII, she taught in a one room red brick school house in the country near Wayland for 10 years, teaching grades K-8. She retired in Jenison, MI.


Raymond and Kathy were enumerated in the 1930 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Co., OK, federal census. He was a factory repair man at a motor co. age 30, she was 26. Two children in the household were Thomas 2 years 3 months, and William 1 year 5 months.

     Nikki was married for a short time, however nothing is known of his whereabouts or if they were divorced. She lived most of her life in an apartment on Riverside Drive in New York City, NY, with Lee Thompson, who was a teacher of piano at Juliard School of Music in NYC. Nikki was the head librarian for over 30 years at Columbia Univeristy in NYC,until her retirement. they moved to Southern California (Palm Springs) after retirement. Grace Elvira Armstrong was born on 8 May 1905 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. She was the daughter of Willard Warren Armstrong and Sarah Alvira Wynkoop. Grace Elvira Armstrong died in 1988 at Cherry Valley, Riverside Co., CA.

     Orange Holcombe was born on 16 July 1784 at Canaan, Litchfield Co., CT.² He was the son of Abraham Holcombe and Betsey Bosworth. Orange Holcombe married Lydia Rogers, daughter of Elder Davis Rogers and Hannah Miner, on 23 December 1804.² Orange Holcombe died on 20 June 1868 at age 83.

     Lydia Rogers was born on 6 July 1780. She was the daughter of Elder Davis Rogers and Hannah Miner. Lydia Rogers married Orange Holcombe, son of Abraham Holcombe and Betsey Bosworth, on 23 December 1804.² Lydia Rogers died in 1815.

     John Rogers Holcombe was born on 8 September 1805 at Plymouth, Chenango Co., NY. He was the son of Orange Holcombe and Lydia Rogers.

     Orange Holcombe II was born on 5 November 1807 at Plymouth, Chenango Co., NY. He was the son of Orange Holcombe and Lydia Rogers.

     Orlando Holcombe was born on 1 November 1810 at Plymouth, Chenango Co., NY. He was the son of Orange Holcombe and Lydia Rogers. Orlando Holcombe married Asenath Truman, daughter of Joseph Truman and Asenath Rogers, on 13 November 1833.

     Maria Holcombe was born on 1 May 1812 at Plymouth, Chenango Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Orange Holcombe and Lydia Rogers. Maria Holcombe married John Truman on 15 November 1836 at Lincklean, Chenango Co., NY.^1,2 Maria Holcombe died on 18 September 1863 at Lima, Rock Co., WI, at age 51.² She was buried at Lima Center Cemetery, Lima Twp., Rock Co., WI.

John moved to Wirt, Allegany Co., NY, about 1837 with the 5 childen of this first wife. He was elected constable in 1839 and at the same time he was working at his trade as a Blacksmith. ²

When the railroad came through his land John built a new house on his farm of red brick which were hand made on his farm. John served as the Town Justice in 1854. He was appointed the Station Agent of the Milwaukee & Mississippi Railroad from 1852 - 1862. ²

John and "Monah" were enumerated in the 1860 Lima, Rock Co., WI, federal census. He was a farmer, age 58, she was 48. Children in the household were "Anson" 20, Eunice 18, William 15, and Harriet 6.

     Elder Davis Rogers was born on 1 September 1754 at Waterford, CT. He was the son of Elder Nathan Rogers and Martha Davis. Elder Davis Rogers died on 4 April 1833 at Preston, Chenango Co., NY, at age 78.

     Asenath Rogers was born on 8 June 1775 at New London, CT.¹ She was the daughter of Elder Davis Rogers and Hannah Miner. Asenath Rogers married Joseph Truman, son of William Truman, on 4 February 1798.

     Joseph Truman was born on 7 August 1776 at Southold, Long Island. He was the son of William Truman. Joseph Truman married Asenath Rogers, daughter of Elder Davis Rogers and Hannah Miner, on 4 February 1798.

     Asenath Truman was born on 23 July 1815. She was the daughter of Joseph Truman and Asenath Rogers. Asenath Truman married Orlando Holcombe, son of Orange Holcombe and Lydia Rogers, on 13 November 1833.

     Marietta Messenger was born on 21 February 1822 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Israel Messenger and Lohanna Higley. Marietta Messenger died on 1 May 1911 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT, at age 89. She was buried at Center Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹

Holcombe, son of Alson Holcombe and Candace Almina Holcombe. Florence Roberts died on 26 October 1956 at Hartford, Hartford Co., CT, at age 85. She was buried on 29 October 1956 at Center Cemetery, Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.

     Harold Frederick Holcombe was born on 1 August 1896 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Frank L. Holcombe and Florence Roberts. Harold Frederick Holcombe married Ella Maria Passaur on 26 June 1922.² Harold Frederick Holcombe married Rose Alta Ransom on 1 June 1930.² Harold Frederick Holcombe married Rosa Stowe.² Harold Frederick Holcombe died on 8 November 1957 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT, at age 61. He was buried on 11 November 1957 at Center Cemetery, Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.
