     Dora Jane Palmer was born on 28 February 1873 at Southwick, Hampden Co., MA. She was the daughter of Simeon Palmer and Emma Holcombe.

     Nina E. Osborne was born on 1 June 1881. She was the daughter of Wilbert Osborne and Mary Elizabeth Holcombe.

     Harry Milton Osborne was born on 4 March 1883. He was the son of Wilbert Osborne and Mary Elizabeth Holcombe.

     Thornton Burgess was born on 18 May 1906. He was the son of Thornton W. Burgess and Nina E. Osborne.

     Elizabeth Norman was the daughter of Carl A. Norman and Elizabeth Holcombe.

     Inez Norman was the daughter of Carl A. Norman and Elizabeth Holcombe. Both Inez and Frank were connected with Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio.

     Milton Dewey was born on 10 August 1822 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Samuel Dewey and Sabra Holcombe.¹

     Wilson Dewey was born circa 1824.¹ He was the son of Samuel Dewey and Sabra Holcombe.¹

     Lemuel W. Dewey was born on 15 August 1831 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.^3,2 He was the son of Samuel Dewey and Sabra Holcombe.² Lemuel W. Dewey married Dora Anthea Sophia Holcombe, daughter of Uri Holcombe and Sophia Godard, on 24 June 1868 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.² Lemuel W. Dewey died on 19 July 1915 at age 83.⁴ He was buried at Center Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT; Vot V-45.⁵

     Samantha Holcombe was born circa 1802.² She was the daughter of Oliver Holcombe and Martha Barber. Samantha Holcombe married Aralza Morse in April 1823. Samantha Holcombe died in 1863.²

     Aralza Morse married Samantha Holcombe, daughter of Oliver Holcombe and Martha Barber, in April 1823.

     Samantha Holcombe was the daughter of John Holcombe and Mary Magdalena Shewman.

     Sophia Farnum was born circa 1818.² She was the daughter of Warner Farnum and Marilla Holcombe. Sophia Farnum died on 28 April 1856; no issue.²

     Melissa Farnum was born circa 1820.² She was the daughter of Warner Farnum and Marilla Holcombe.

     Bradford W. Farnum was born circa 1822.² He was the son of Warner Farnum and Marilla Holcombe.

     Sarah Holcombe was born in 1840.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Holcombe and Emeline Holcombe. Sarah Holcombe died on 27 October 1890.¹

     Ellen Hepzibeth Holcombe was born on 30 December 1837 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.^1,2 She was the daughter of Charles Holcombe and Emeline Holcombe. Ellen Hepzibeth Holcombe married Roswell Jay Noble, son of Roswell Fisher Noble and Betsey Case, on 28 May 1863.³ Ellen Hepzibeth Holcombe died on 30 December 1899 at age 62.¹

     Roswell Jay Noble was born on 16 September 1827 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.^2,1,3 He was the son of Roswell Fisher Noble and Betsey Case.¹ Roswell Jay Noble married Ellen Hepzibeth Holcombe, daughter of Charles Holcombe and Emeline Holcombe, on 28 May 1863.⁴ Roswell Jay Noble died in 1909.²

     Polly Birge Hayes was born on 20 June 1796.^2,1 She was the daughter of Calvin Hayes and Lucy Phelps.¹ Polly Birge Hayes married Harry Holcombe, son of Elihu E. Holcombe and Electa Hillyer, on 4 November 1816 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Polly Birge Hayes died on 29 July 1829 at age 33.^2,1

     Betsey (?) was born in 1800.¹ She died in 1885.¹

     Curtis Wilson Holcombe was born on 21 February 1840 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.^1,2,3 He was the son of Harry Holcombe and Betsey Barton. Curtis Wilson Holcombe married Elizabeth Ann Griffin circa 1862. Curtis Wilson Holcombe died on 12 May 1904 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT, at age 64.¹

Curtis is recorded in the 1900 Granby census, age 60, as a lawyer. Elizabeth had been the mother of six children, only two of which were still alive. Only William was still living at home. In the census Elizabeth is listed as "Ann E.", in the cemetery records she is listed as Elizabeth Ann.

From the Courant 14 May 1904:

Curtis W. Holcomb, a resident of Granby, died at his home in that town on thursday, aged 64 years. He was a native of Granby, the son of the late Harry Holcomb, and was a lawyer by profession formerly practicing in Washington, D.C. He retired several years ago coming to Granby. He leaves a son, William, and a daughter, Mrs. John M. Jewett, both of whom live in Granby. The funeral will be at his home at 2 o'clock this afternoon.

     Elizabeth Ann Griffin was born in January 1838 at CT.¹ She married Curtis Wilson Holcombe, son of Harry Holcombe and Betsey Barton, circa 1862. Elizabeth Ann Griffin died on 9 August 1901 at Washington, DC, at age 63.¹ She was buried on 13 August 1901 at Granby Center Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.

From the Courant 12 August 1901:

Elizabeth Griffin, wife of Curtis W. Holcomb and a native of Granby, died in Washington, D.C., Friday morning aged 63. Mr. and Mrs. Holcomb had kept their residence in Granby for years, although living in Washington until the last three years, when they made that their permanent home, as Mr. Holcomb is a lawyer there. For many summers they have lived in Granby and were there until a few weeks ago, when Mr. Holcomb was called to Washington on business and Mrs. Holcomb went there on a visit. She was a prominent member of the Granby Congregational Church and of the community generally. She leaves her husband, a son, William of Granby, and a daughter, Mrs. John Jewett, also of Granby. The body was taken to Granby Saturday, the funeral will be held at the house tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock adn the interment will be in the Granby Cemetery.

     Mary Louisa Holcombe was born in 1863.¹ She was the daughter of Curtis Wilson Holcombe and Elizabeth Ann Griffin. Mary Louisa Holcombe died in 1870.¹

     Julia E. Holcombe was born in 1864.¹ She was the daughter of Curtis Wilson Holcombe and Elizabeth Ann Griffin. Julia E. Holcombe died in 1866.¹

     Anna Edith Holcombe was born in 1868.¹ She was the daughter of Curtis Wilson Holcombe and Elizabeth Ann Griffin. Anna Edith Holcombe died in 1897.¹

     Maggie Sarah Holcombe was born in 1871.¹ She was the daughter of Curtis Wilson Holcombe and Elizabeth Ann Griffin. Maggie Sarah Holcombe died in 1900.¹

     William E. Holcombe was born on 10 January 1876.¹ He was the son of Curtis Wilson Holcombe and Elizabeth Ann Griffin. William E. Holcombe died on 20 June 1913 at age 37.¹

     Louisa McFarland was the daughter of Bradford McFarland and Melissa Holcombe.

     George McFarland was the son of Bradford McFarland and Melissa Holcombe.

      Sarah Phelps was also known as Sally Phelps.¹ She was born on 14 March 1799 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.^2,3 She was the daughter of Judah Phelps and Abigail Bishop. Sarah Phelps married Bradley Alderman, son of Gad Alderman and Happy Buckley, on 6 December 1821.² Sarah Phelps died on 7 October 1893 at age 94.²

     Bradley Alderman was born on 12 October 1795 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.² He was the son of Gad Alderman and Happy Buckley.² Bradley Alderman married Sarah Phelps, daughter of Judah Phelps and Abigail Bishop, on 6 December 1821.² Bradley Alderman died on 4 August 1870 at age 74.²

Bradley and Sarah established their home in West Springfield, MA, where their first four children were born. In 1828 they moved to Castle Creek, NY, ariving there on October 28.³

Bradley and Sarah were enumerated in the 1860 Chenango, Broome Co., NY federal census, page 568. He was a farmer age 65, she was 61.

     Judah Dwight Phelps was born on 12 July 1803 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Judah Phelps and Abigail Bishop.

     Benjamin Phelps was born in 1833. He was the son of Judah Dwight Phelps and Ellis Wood. Benjamin Phelps married Eliza Masters in 1856. Benjamin Phelps died in 1895.

     Eliza Masters was born in 1833. She married Benjamin Phelps, son of Judah Dwight Phelps and Ellis Wood, in 1856.

     Alvin Frank Phelps was born in 1857. He was the son of Benjamin Phelps and Eliza Masters. Alvin Frank Phelps died in 1911.
