     Henry Mulford Peirson was born in 1825. He married Electa Maria Dresser, daughter of Otis Dresser and Fannie F. Munson, in 1852. Henry Mulford Peirson died in 1894.

     Mary Louise Peirson was born at Pittsfield, MA. DAR member 43014. She was the daughter of Henry Mulford Peirson and Electa Maria Dresser.

     DAR record 56859. Noah Amherst Phelps Jr. married Delia Clark. Noah Amherst Phelps Jr. was born in 1788. He was the son of Col. Noah Amherst Phelps and Charlotte Wilcox.

     Delia Clark married Noah Amherst Phelps Jr., son of Col. Noah Amherst Phelps and Charlotte Wilcox. Delia Clark was born in 1787. She died in 1840.

     DAR record 56859. Mary Louisa Phelps was born in 1820. She was the daughter of Noah Amherst Phelps Jr. and Delia Clark. Mary Louisa Phelps married Joseph Arnold in 1841. Mary Louisa Phelps died in 1851.

     Joseph Arnold was born in 1811. He married Mary Louisa Phelps, daughter of Noah Amherst Phelps Jr. and Delia Clark, in 1841. Joseph Arnold died in 1884.

     DAR record 56859. Susan Brainerd Arnold was born in 1843. She was the daughter of Joseph Arnold and Mary Louisa Phelps. Susan Brainerd Arnold married Henry Fanning Norcross in 1868. Susan Brainerd Arnold died in 1873.

     Henry Fanning Norcross was born in 1835. He married Susan Brainerd Arnold, daughter of Joseph Arnold and Mary Louisa Phelps, in 1868.

     Susan Arnold Norcross was born at Derby, CT. DAR member 56859. She was the daughter of Henry Fanning Norcross and Susan Brainerd Arnold.

     Ezekiel Wilcox married Rosanna Pettibone, daughter of Jonathan Pettibone and Martha Humphrey. Ezekiel Wilcox was born in 1735. He died in 1774.

     Emma M. Phelps was the daughter of Hector Fayette Phelps and Roxanna Selina Barnard. DAR record 58828.

     E. Isabel Hawley was born at Canton, Hartford Co., CT. DAR member 58828. She was the daughter of Rollin L. Hawley and Emma M. Phelps.

     Katharine St. John Arnold was the daughter of Joseph Arnold and Mary Louisa Phelps. DAR record 85236.

     Helen Arnold Nettleton was born at Shelton, CT. DAR member 85236. She was the daughter of Charles Hine Nettleton and Katharine St. John Arnold.

     DAR record 97533. Joseph Edward Peirson was born in 1861. He was the son of Henry Mulford Peirson and Electa Maria Dresser.

     Josephine W. Peirson was born at Pittsfield, Berkshire Co., MA. DAR member 97533. She was the daughter of Joseph Edward Peirson and Mabel L. Wood.

     DAR record 104365. Frank Ensign Peirson was born in 1866. He was the son of Henry Mulford Peirson and Electa Maria Dresser. Frank Ensign Peirson married Florence Newman in 1890.

     Florence Newman was born in 1868. She married Frank Ensign Peirson, son of Henry Mulford Peirson and Electa Maria Dresser, in 1890. Florence Newman died in 1911.

     Helen Newman Peirson was born at Pittsfield, Berkshire Co., MA. DAR member 104365. She was the daughter of Frank Ensign Peirson and Florence Newman.

     Capt. Josiah Phelps was born on 15 November 1735 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Josiah Phelps and Anne Griswold. Capt. Josiah Phelps married Anna Denslow circa 1754. Capt. Josiah Phelps died on 13 November 1820 at Harwinton, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 84.

     Anna Denslow was born in 1737. She married Capt. Josiah Phelps, son of Josiah Phelps and Anne Griswold, circa 1754. Anna Denslow died on 24 March 1818 at Harwinton, Litchfield Co., CT.

     Susannah Holcombe was born circa 1791 at Greenbrier Co., VA. She was the daughter of Timothy Holcombe and Elizabeth Griffin.

     Susannah Holcombe was born on 2 October 1769 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Ezekiel Holcombe and Elizabeth Gillet. Susannah Holcombe married Joel Phelps Duplicate on 27 January 1782.

There are multiple Susannahs and Joels. The DAR records only add to the confusion. DAR record 57659 shows this line, but other DAR records contradict this one.

This is ONE possibility.

The Phelps book shows Frederick to be the father of a Joel who married a Susanah Holcomb. The McPherson book show a Susannah Holcombe who married a Joel Phelps, son of Lt. Ezekiel Phelps.

The birth date McPherson shows would have Susannah married at age 13. Carol Laun of the Salmon Brook Historical Society suggests the possibility that she was instead born at her mother's death 4 years earlier.

     Samuel Griswold married Sarah (?). Samuel Griswold was born on 14 April 1685 at Killingworth, CT. He was the son of John Griswold and Bathsheba North. Samuel Griswold died on 29 October 1732 at age 47.

     Sarah (?) married Samuel Griswold, son of John Griswold and Bathsheba North. Sarah (?) died on 9 May 1735.

     The Phelps book shows Frederick to be the father of a Joel who married a Susanah Holcomb.

The same book shows Ezekiel to be tha father of a Joel whose line is not continued.

The McPherson book show a Susannah Holcombe who married a Joel Phelps, son of Lt. Ezekiel Phelps.

Joel, son of Ezekiel, was born September 17, 1759 (Simsbury VR, page 71). Joel Phelps Duplicate married Susannah Holcombe, daughter of Ezekiel Holcombe and Elizabeth Gillet, on 27 January 1782.

     DAR record 57659. Isaac Phelps was born in 1809. He was the son of Joel Phelps Jr. and Huldah Dean.

     Emily Phelps was born at McKean, Erie Co., PA. DAR member 57659. She was the daughter of Isaac Phelps and Laura Rew. Emily Phelps married Jere D. Witter.

     Jere D. Witter married Emily Phelps, daughter of Isaac Phelps and Laura Rew.

     Frances L. Phelps was the daughter of Joel Phelps Jr. and Huldah Dean.

     DAR member 59604. Mary Witter was born in 1865 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. She was the daughter of Dr. G. F. Witter and Frances L. Phelps.

     Helen Melissa Connor was born at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. DAR member 59605. She was the daughter of William Duncan Connor and Mary Witter.

     Ruth Witter was born at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. DAR member 70715. She was the daughter of Jere D. Witter and Emily Phelps.

     Marian E. Connor was born at Wood Co., WI. DAR member 104237. She was the daughter of William Duncan Connor and Mary Witter.

     Chloe Johnson was born in 1777. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Johnson and Tryphene Barber.
