Roman Philo enlisted at Belvidere, Boon Co., Ill. June 4, 1847 as a drummer in Co. E. 2nd Ill. Regt., Capt. William Shepherd, or Collins. 3


Orren Heber and Eli Chelsea are recorded in the 1850 Census of Ashtabula, O., living with their grandparents, Eli and Susan (Sweet) Holcomb. Newly re-married Amanda and husband Demley Kerger were recorded in Boone with Alice and Roman. 3
