Asahel Gould Alvord removed from Cornwall, Conn., to N.Y. State in 1802. He resided at Cincinatus, N.Y., and later at Moravia, N.Y. He was a farmer. When nearly eighty years old, in 1846, he visited his daughter in Mich. ³

Asahel Alvord went to Cronwall, Conn., about 1767. His name appears on the land records of Cornwall several times between 1767 and 1790. According to U. S. Census of 1810, A. Alvord and wife were living at Decatur, N.Y., both over 45 years old. No others in the family. ³
