     Hepzibah Drake was born on 14 July 1659. She was the daughter of Job Drake and Mary Wolcott.

     Deacon Job Drake was born on 15 June 1651 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of John Drake and Hannah Moore. Deacon Job Drake married Elizabeth Alvord, daughter of Sgt. Benedictus Alvord and Jane Newton, on 20 March 1671 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Deacon Job Drake died on 19 April 1733 at age 81.

Job resided on East Windsor Hill, opposite Old Cemetery; was a tailor and first deacon of the 2nd Church of Christ in Windsor.

     Hannah Drake was born on 8 August 1653 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of John Drake and Hannah Moore. Hannah Drake married Capt. John Higley on 9 November 1671 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.^2,1 Hannah Drake died on 4 August 1694 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT, at age 40.^3,4

     Enoch Drake was born on 8 December 1655 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of John Drake and Hannah Moore. Enoch Drake married Sarah Porter, daughter of John Porter II and Mary Stanley, on 11 November 1680.² Enoch Drake died on 21 August 1698 at age 42.

     Elizabeth Alvord was born on 21 September 1651. She was the daughter of Sgt. Benedictus Alvord and Jane Newton. Elizabeth Alvord married Deacon Job Drake, son of John Drake and Hannah Moore, on 20 March 1671 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.

     Elizabeth Drake was born on 2 November 1675. She was the daughter of Deacon Job Drake and Elizabeth Alvord. Elizabeth Drake married Sgt. Joseph Rockwell, son of Samuel Rockwell and Mary Norton.

     Sgt. Joseph Rockwell was born on 22 May 1670 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Samuel Rockwell and Mary Norton. Sgt. Joseph Rockwell married Elizabeth Drake, daughter of Deacon Job Drake and Elizabeth Alvord. Sgt. Joseph Rockwell died on 26 June 1733 at East Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 63.

     Benjamin Rockwell married Margaret Parke. Benjamin Rockwell was born on 26 October 1700. He was the son of Sgt. Joseph Rockwell and Elizabeth Drake.

     Margaret Parke married Benjamin Rockwell, son of Sgt. Joseph Rockwell and Elizabeth Drake. Margaret Parke was born on 7 June 1702 at New London, CT. She died on 4 February 1773 at East Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 70.

Peter Rockwell was born on 4 August 1797 at Stafford Twp., Tolland Co., CT. He was the son of Job Rockwell and Deborah (?). Peter Rockwell died on 15 September 1868 at Triangle, Broome Co., NY, at age 71.

     Ann Leach married Peter Rockwell, son of Job Rockwell and Deborah (?). Ann Leach was born on 20 December 1815 at Cortland Co., NY. She died on 18 April 1904 at Willet, Cortland Co., NY, at age 88.

     Samuel Rockwell married Hannah Orcutt. Samuel Rockwell was born on 28 November 1727 at Stafford Twp., Tolland Co., CT. He was the son of Benjamin Rockwell and Margaret Parke. Samuel Rockwell died on 24 November 1794 at CT at age 66.

     Hannah Orcutt married Samuel Rockwell, son of Benjamin Rockwell and Margaret Parke. Hannah Orcutt was born on 19 January 1738/39 at Stafford, Tolland Co., CT. She died on 16 December 1834 at Stafford, Tolland Co., CT, at age 95.

     Lydia Beach was born at East Goshen, CT. She married Jesse Buell, son of Jonathan Buell and Lydia Landon, on 4 January 1770 at Goshen, Litchfield Co., CT. Lydia Beach died on 21 September 1789.

     Nancy Buell was born on 16 August 1750 at Goshen, Litchfield Co., CT. She was the daughter of Jonathan Buell and Lydia Landon. Nancy Buell died on 22 February 1766 at Goshen, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 15.

     Isaac Buell died on 2 September 1755 at Goshen, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 0. He was born on 2 September 1755 at Goshen, Litchfield Co., CT. He was the son of Jonathan Buell and Lydia Landon.

     Charity Mills Norton was born on 16 May 1759 at Norfolk, VA. She married Deacon Timothy Buell, son of Jonathan Buell and Lydia Landon, on 13 June 1816 at Goshen, Litchfield Co., CT. Charity Mills Norton died on 17 July 1843 at age 84.

     Ashbel Buell was born on 6 August 1759 at Goshen, Litchfield Co., CT. He was the son of Jonathan Buell and Lydia Landon. Ashbel Buell married Polly Merriman. Ashbel Buell died on 10 October 1841 at Goshen, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 82.

     Polly Merriman married Ashbel Buell, son of Jonathan Buell and Lydia Landon. Polly Merriman died on 20 June 1818.

     Pitt Buell was born on 3 January 1767. He was the son of Jonathan Buell and Lydia Landon. Pitt Buell married Meriam Goodwin Griswold in 1792 at Goshen, Litchfield Co., CT. Pitt Buell died on 17 December 1828 at New Haven, IL, at age 61.

     Meriam Goodwin Griswold married Pitt Buell, son of Jonathan Buell and Lydia Landon, in 1792 at Goshen, Litchfield Co., CT.

     Daniel Cooley III was born on 11 September 1711 at Enfield, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Daniel Cooley II and Jemima Clark. Daniel Cooley III married Frances McIntyre on 16 October 1735 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. Daniel Cooley III died on 21 December 1782 at Mortification due to a wound, West Granville, MA, at age 71.

     Frances McIntyre was born circa 1717 at Co. Cavan, Ireland. She married Daniel Cooley III, son of Daniel Cooley II and Jemima Clark, on 16 October 1735 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. Frances McIntyre died on 3 November 1807 at Granville, Hampden Co., MA.

     Doris Cooley was born on 31 May 1776 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Ensign Noah Cooley and Lois Holcombe. Doris Cooley died on 18 July 1778 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT, at age 2.

     Forrest Cooley was born on 27 October 1778 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Ensign Noah Cooley and Lois Holcombe. Forrest Cooley died on 13 January 1845 at age 66.² He was buried at Cooley Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.²

     Parley Cooley was born on 4 December 1780 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.³ He was the son of Ensign Noah Cooley and Lois Holcombe. Parley Cooley married Deborah Holcombe, daughter of Dan Holcombe and Hannah Gillett, in 1803. Parley Cooley died on 9 September 1839 at age 58.⁴ He was buried at Cooley Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.⁴

     Dorres Cooley was born on 7 September 1782 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Ensign Noah Cooley and Lois Holcombe. Dorres Cooley died on 26 October 1839 at age 57; unmarried.² She was buried at Cooley Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.²

      Pattee Cooley was also known as Patty Cooley.¹ She was born on 5 May 1785 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Ensign Noah Cooley and Lois Holcombe. Pattee Cooley died on 18 April 1876 at age 90.¹ She was buried at Cooley Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Jefferson Cooley was born on 15 September 1800 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.² He was the son of Philetus Cooley and Polly Hinman. Jefferson Cooley was graduated at New Haven, New Haven Co., CT. He died on 20 December 1840 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT, at age 40.² He was buried at Cooley Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.²

According to the Cooley Genealogy, Jefferson taught for 10 years in the public schools of Granby, and meantime (1829-32) studied law under the direction of Jered Griswold of Hartford; and was admitted to the bar, though he never practiced. In 1836 he became the Preceptor of the Academy in Poughkeepsie, NY; a year later, Principal of the Academy in Sharon, Ct. In 1838 he resumed teaching in Granby and was thus occupied until his health failed.

Anson and Francis were enumerated in the 1860 Granby, Hartford Co., CT, census with Emily and Julius Cooley, age 56.

Anson and Caroline were enumerated in the 1870 Granby, Hartford Co., CT, census; he was 63, she 43.

Anson and Caroline were enumerated in the 1880 Granby, Hartford Co., CT, census with daughter Emily Stevens.

Thanks to Carol Laun for further information on Anson and his wives. Carolyn was called widow in Anson's probate GPR 13-577.

GPR 10-608 1856 will of Sereno Holcomb mentions heirs of his daughter Emily deceased wife of David Church, the heirs were Frances, Lyman, Emeline (therefore Anson Cooley married his wife's neice for his 2nd wife). Sereno also mentioned Emily, the only duaghter of Candace, deceased wife of Anson Cooley.

GPR 13-577 estate of Anson Cooley mentions widow Carolyn L. Cooley and his daughter Emily C. Stephens.

Anson Cooley was born on 9 November 1806 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Parley Cooley and Deborah Holcombe. Anson Cooley married Candace Holcombe, daughter of Sereno Holcombe and Cynthia Ann Wilcox, on 3 November 1836 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.⁴ Anson Cooley married Francis Ann Church, daughter of David Church and Emily Holcombe, on 12 February 1851 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. Anson Cooley married Carolyn L. (?) after 1862. Anson Cooley died on 6 January 1892 at Suffield, Hartford Co., CT, at age 85. He was buried at Center Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.

     From the Coley Genealogy:

Sherman Cooley emigrated to Trumbull Co., Ohio, in 1832, and from there to Belmont, Wis., in 1857. In 1870 he bought 55 acres of farmland in Grant Co., Wis., later enlarging his home place to 100 acres, with fine imporvements. his house was two-storied, 18x24 in size; the barn was 34 x 40, with a basement stable.

In politics a Democrat, in religion a free thinker, Sherman Cooley was a man of repute in his places of residence. he held the office of Justice of the Peace in Trumbull co., Ohio, and Grant Co., Wis. He served on the School Board in Wisconsin. On Oct. 4, 1880, he an dhis wife celebrated their Golden Wedding in Lima, Grant Co., Wis. Among other guests (there were 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren) was Morgan Cooley, Sherman's younger brother, who related the story of Sherman's wedding at the Granby meeting-house, and recalled how the bride and groom wre dressed. "Sherman wore a swallow-tailed coat, and a bell-crowned plug hat; the bride wore a drab-colored silk dress, a white belt around the waist with a sash attached, and a deep ruffle around the neck, and a white silk headdress." The white belt, having turned golden in the fifty years since, was worn by Mrs. Diana (Day) Cooley at her Golden Wedding. Sherman Cooley was born on 14 March 1806 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Parley Cooley and Deborah Holcombe. Sherman Cooley married Diana Day, daughter of Giles Day II and Hannah Cutler, in October 1830 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. Sherman Cooley died on 20 February 1888 at Platteville, Grant Co., WI, at age 81.

     Morgan Cooley was born in 1816 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Parley Cooley and Deborah Holcombe.

     Candace Holcombe was born circa 1815. She was the daughter of Sereno Holcombe and Cynthia Ann Wilcox. Candace Holcombe married Anson Cooley, son of Parley Cooley and Deborah Holcombe, on 3 November 1836 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.³ Candace Holcombe died on 3 May 1850 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT; consumption.⁴ She was buried at Cooley Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.⁴

     Lucy Alderman was born in 1842.¹ She was the daughter of Sylvester Phelps Alderman and Hannah Bell.¹ Lucy Alderman died in 1866.¹

     Cynthia M. Cooley was born on 12 April 1849 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Anson Cooley and Candace Holcombe. Cynthia M. Cooley died on 25 July 1849 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT, at age 0; mesenline fever.¹ She was buried at Baptist Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹

The Granby Vital Records give the death as 21 July, the Cooley Genealogy gives 12 July.

     Diana Day was born on 9 August 1811 at Marlborough, VT. She was the daughter of Giles Day II and Hannah Cutler. Diana Day married Sherman Cooley, son of Parley Cooley and Deborah Holcombe, in October 1830 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.

     Mary Janette Cooley was born on 29 December 1831 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Sherman Cooley and Diana Day. Mary Janette Cooley married Nathan Everett, son of Abraham Everett, on 30 August 1851. Mary Janette Cooley died on 28 October 1925 at Warren, Trumbull Co., OH, at age 93.

     He left home in 1861, going to Nevada and Arizona; died unmarried. Franklin Burdette Cooley was born on 15 March 1834 at Trumbull Co., OH. He was the son of Sherman Cooley and Diana Day. Franklin Burdette Cooley died circa 1890 at Platteville, Grant Co., WI.

     Rhoda Louisa Cooley was born on 7 March 1836 at Trumbull Co., OH. She was the daughter of Sherman Cooley and Diana Day.

     Roswell Day Cooley was born on 21 February 1838 at Trumbull Co., OH. He was the son of Sherman Cooley and Diana Day. Roswell Day Cooley married Mary Kyle, daughter of Leonard Kyle and Susan Thompson, on 15 April 1874 at Waverly, Lancaster Co., NE. Roswell Day Cooley died in October 1912 at Waverly, Lancaster Co., NE, at age 74.

     Richard S. Cooley was born on 29 July 1842 at Trumbull Co., OH. He was the son of Sherman Cooley and Diana Day. Richard S. Cooley married Margaret E. McMurry, daughter of Albert McMurry and Sarah McClure, on 29 May 1871 at Cass Co., NE. Richard S. Cooley died on 6 August 1928 at Waverly, Lancaster Co., NE, at age 86.

     According to the Cooley Genealogy, Alfred was a member of the Nebraska State Legislature, 1890-1896, and was a Deputy U.S. Marshal, 1896-1900. Alfred Sherman Cooley was born on 7 June 1846 at Trumbull Co., OH. He was the son of Sherman Cooley and Diana Day. Alfred Sherman Cooley married Rosalia Smith, daughter of Franklin D. Smith and Marietta Parker, on 29 December 1870. Alfred Sherman Cooley died on 3 August 1920 at Hutchinson, Reno Co., KS, at age 74.
