     Susan Holcombe was born at Panton, Addison Co., VT. She was the daughter of Abner Green Holcombe and Orpha Chamberlain.

     Bethuel Holcombe II was born on 10 June 1811. He was the son of Hosea Holcombe and Hulda Quimba. Bethuel Holcombe II died in 1886.

There is a Lillian F. Holcombe enumerated in the 1880 census of Clyde, Wayne Co., NY, a milliner, age 22, born in NY; father born in NY, mother born in England. She is in the household of her aunt, Frances M. Howe, a 38 year-old Milliner, born in NY, with both parents born in England.

     Charles Henry Holcombe was born on 19 July 1829. He was the son of Hosea Holcombe and Hulda Quimba. Charles Henry Holcombe lived at Augusta, Oneida Co., NY.

     Union soldier killed in battle. David Holcombe was born on 3 April 1831. He was the son of Hosea Holcombe and Hulda Quimba. David Holcombe died in 1862 at Shilo, TN.

     Lewis Holcombe was born on 31 August 1836. He was the son of Bethuel Holcombe II and Elizabeth Weaver.

     George Henry Holcombe was born on 7 February 1839. He was the son of Bethuel Holcombe II and Elizabeth Weaver. George Henry Holcombe died on 21 July 1864 at Atlanta Campaign, GA, at age 25.

George Henry Holcombe enlisted at Dubuque, IA, in 1861 in the 16th Iowa Regt. of the Union Army, organized at Des Moines, IA, under Colonel Alexander Chambers; promoted to 2nd Lt; wounded at Shiloh; killed in action before Atlanta, GA July 21, 1864.

     Charles Lovejoy Holcombe was born on 12 March 1842 at Harding Co., NY. He was the son of Bethuel Holcombe II and Elizabeth Weaver. Charles Lovejoy Holcombe married Lillian Morrison in September 1875 at Decorah, Winneshiek Co., IA. Charles Lovejoy Holcombe died on 11 October 1925 at Duluth, Pine Co., MN, at age 83. He was buried on 14 October 1925 at Phelps Cemetery, Decorah, Winneshiek Co., IA.

Charles served four years in the union army, Co. D, 10th Iowa InfantryI.

From the Decorah Journal, 14 Oct 1925, page 7:

Charles Lovejoy Holcomb, an old time resident of Decorah and a civil war veteran, passed away Sunday am - Oct 11. Mr. Holcomb moved from Decorah in 1921 to make his home with his son, W.G. Holcomb at Duluth, MN, whee he passed away.

Cerebral hemorhage was the cause of death. He had been sick a month. His remains were brought to Decorah and the funeral service was held today. Interement was in Decorah.

     Roswell Wesley Holcombe was born on 19 October 1845. He was the son of Bethuel Holcombe II and Elizabeth Weaver. Roswell Wesley Holcombe died on 26 April 1852 at age 6.

     Della Holcombe was the daughter of Lewis Holcombe and Julia Remington. Della Holcombe married J. H. McKay.

     Maud Elizabeth Holcombe was born in 1878 at Mason City, IA. She was the daughter of Charles Lovejoy Holcombe and Lillian Morrison. Maud Elizabeth Holcombe married Luther A. Jones on 25 December 1905 at Decorah, Winneshiek Co., IA. Maud Elizabeth Holcombe died in 1978.

     Lillian R. Holcombe was the daughter of William G. Holcombe.

     Donald N. Holcombe was the son of William G. Holcombe.

     Luther A. Jones lived at Mason City, IA. He was born on 22 April 1870 at Fairgrove, MI. He married Maud Elizabeth Holcombe, daughter of Charles Lovejoy Holcombe and Lillian Morrison, on 25 December 1905 at Decorah, Winneshiek Co., IA. Luther A. Jones died on 20 August 1935 at Veterans Hospital, Knoxville, IA, at age 65.

     Roy F. Jones was born in 1906. He was the son of Luther A. Jones and Maud Elizabeth Holcombe. Roy F. Jones died in 1975.

     Charles Lincoln Jones was born in 1908. He was the son of Luther A. Jones and Maud Elizabeth Holcombe. Charles Lincoln Jones died in 1981.

     Ralph Bruce Jones was born on 8 November 1910 at Mason City, IA.¹ He was the son of Luther A. Jones and Maud Elizabeth Holcombe. Ralph Bruce Jones died on 13 February 1975 at Moline Public Hospital, Moline, Rock Island Co., IL, at age 64.^1,2 He was buried on 17 February 1975 at Greenview Memorial Gardens, Hampton Township, Rock Island Co., IL.

Mr. Jones . . . was employed as a timekeeper at International Harvester, East Moline Works until retiring in 1964. He formerly owned the timberlost Summer Resort, Nevis, Minn.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Moline VFW Post.

Mr. Jones was a 32nd degree Mason in the Moline Consistory and had sung in the choir for many years. He was a tyler of Moline Lodge 1014 for a number of years, a member of Blackhawk Shrine Club, Moline, and Mohammed Shrine Club, Peoria, Ill.

He was head usher at First United Methodist Church.

     Pansy Ruth Jones was born on 22 February 1913 at Mason City, IA. She was the daughter of Luther A. Jones and Maud Elizabeth Holcombe. Pansy Ruth Jones married Charles Albertus Nagle on 11 April 1930 at Mason City, IA. Pansy Ruth Jones died on 14 December 1986 at Silvis, Rock Island Co., IL, at age 73.^1,2 She was buried on 17 December 1986 at Greenview Memorial Gardens, Hampton Township, Rock Island Co., IL.

     Juanita M. Jones was born in 1915. She was the daughter of Luther A. Jones and Maud Elizabeth Holcombe. Juanita M. Jones died in 1991.

     Orval Luther Jones was born on 4 November 1917.¹ He was the son of Luther A. Jones and Maud Elizabeth Holcombe. Orval Luther Jones died in November 1979 at Milan, Rock Island Co., IL.¹

     Lillian Phebe Jones was born in 1921. She was the daughter of Luther A. Jones and Maud Elizabeth Holcombe. Lillian Phebe Jones died in 1985.

     Henry Holcombe was the son of Lewis Melvin Holcombe.

     William Holcombe was the son of Lewis Melvin Holcombe. William was a union soldier and was killed in battle of Gettysburg, PA. He served as a private in Co. E, 7th Wis Inf.

     Charles Darwin Holcombe was the son of Almon Colvin Holcombe and Harriet C. Reynolds.

     Anson Wells lived at Augusta, Oneida Co., NY. He married Desire Holcombe, daughter of Hosea Holcombe and Hulda Quimba.

     Jane Elizabeth Morgan was born circa 1828 at Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Isaac Morgan and Mary C. Brasher. Jane Elizabeth Morgan married James Gilson Holcombe, son of Hosea Holcombe and Hulda Quimba, in 1850. Jane Elizabeth Morgan died on 29 October 1914 at Williamson, NY.

     Eliza C. White was born on 30 August 1812. She married Hiram Holcombe, son of Bethuel Holcombe and Deziah Holcombe. Eliza C. White died on 11 December 1844 at age 32.

     Sarah Valentine was born on 24 December 1801. She married Edmund Holcombe, son of Bethuel Holcombe and Deziah Holcombe, on 20 February 1822. Sarah Valentine died in 1878.

     Jane Elizabeth Holcombe was born on 8 March 1824 at Port Layden, Lewis Co., NY. She was the daughter of Edmund Holcombe and Sarah Valentine.

     John Wesley Holcombe was born on 11 August 1825 at Port Layden, Lewis Co., NY. He was the son of Edmund Holcombe and Sarah Valentine.
