     Levi Holcombe was born at CT. He was the son of Return Holcombe and Hannah Niles. Levi Holcombe married Lois Howard in 1806.

     Violetta Holcombe was born in 1829 at NY. She was the daughter of Levi Holcombe Jr. and Harriet Elliot.

     Calphernia Holcombe was born circa 1834 at NY.¹ She was the daughter of Levi Holcombe Jr. and Harriet Elliot.

     Sherman Holcombe was born in May 1836 at NY. He was the son of Levi Holcombe Jr. and Harriet Elliot. Sherman Holcombe married Charlotte (?). Sherman Holcombe died after 1920.

William and Nancy were enumerated in teh 1900 Ceres, Mckean Co., PA, federal census. He was a farmer, agae 63, she was 59. Children in the household were daughter Blanche Heysham, sons Girdeon 27, Fred 26, and Charles L. 23, and granddaughters Hattie Heysham 9, and Iva Heysham 7.

     Mary Dodd was born in 1858. She was the daughter of Edward L. Dodd and Betsey Holcombe. Mary Dodd married Edward William Lyon in 1877.

     Edward William Lyon was born in 1851. He married Mary Dodd, daughter of Edward L. Dodd and Betsey Holcombe, in 1877.

     Dorothy Dodd Lyon was born at Coudersport, Potter Co., PA. She was the daughter of Edward William Lyon and Mary Dodd. Dorothy Dodd Lyon was a member in 1913 at DAR; 105815, Washington, DC.

     The Loomis Female Genealogy gives Abigail's last name as Farr, of Schroon, Essex Co., NY. Luther Holcombe was born at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Dr. Abner G. Holcombe and Mindwell Buel.

     The Loomis Female Genealogy gives Elijah's surname as Storrs of Westport, NY. McPherson says "Stone". Julia Holcombe was born on 25 April 1793 at Panton, VT. She was the daughter of Dr. Abner G. Holcombe and Mindwell Buel. Julia Holcombe married Elijah Storrs in 1810 at Essex Co., NY. Julia Holcombe died on 24 March 1874 at age 80. She was buried at Lake Forest Cemetery, Grand Haven Twp., MI.

     "Uncle Jock" moved with his parents, brothers and sisters from Danbury, Conn., to Westport, Essex Co., NY; lived all of the latter part of his long life at Basin Harbor. Jonathan Holcombe was born at Panton, Addison Co., VT. He was the son of Dr. Abner G. Holcombe and Mindwell Buel. Jonathan Holcombe died circa 1869 at Basin Harbor, Addison Co., VT.

     Welthea Holcombe was born at Panton, Addison Co., VT. She was the daughter of Dr. Abner G. Holcombe and Mindwell Buel. Welthea Holcombe lived at IA.

     Sybil Spaulding was born in 1783. She married Diodorus Holcombe, son of Dr. Abner G. Holcombe and Mindwell Buel, in 1801. Sybil Spaulding died in 1811.¹ She died in 1813.²

     Amos Bull Holcombe was born on 21 August 1803.³ He was the son of Diodorus Holcombe and Sybil Spaulding. Amos Bull Holcombe was born in 1804.⁴ He married Harriett Barber, daughter of Hezekiah Barber and Huldah Frisbie, in 1823. Amos Bull Holcombe died on 6 March 1844 at age 40.^2,5 He died on 2 March 1848 at age 44.³

     Harriett Barber was born on 16 May 1806 at Westport, Essex Co., NY. She was the daughter of Hezekiah Barber and Huldah Frisbie. Harriett Barber married Amos Bull Holcombe, son of Diodorus Holcombe and Sybil Spaulding, in 1823. Harriett Barber died in 1895.

     Abner Holcombe was born in 1824. He was the son of Amos Bull Holcombe and Harriett Barber. Abner Holcombe died at Detroit, MI.

     Koons lived in Minn., moved to Calif about 1875. Koons Holcombe was born in 1828. He was the son of Amos Bull Holcombe and Harriett Barber. Koons Holcombe died at CA.

     Moody Holcombe was born in 1832. He was the son of Amos Bull Holcombe and Harriett Barber. Moody Holcombe lived at Lester Prarie, McLeod Co., MN.

     Oscar Holcombe was born in 1830 at CT. He was the son of Amos Bull Holcombe and Harriett Barber.

Oscar is recorded in the 1850 Windsor, CT, census as living with Rensselaer and Perlette Pinney.

     There seems to be some confusion about Huldah and whether she was the daughter of Diodorus or his granddaughter by Amos Bull.

The DAR records indicate that Huldah is the daughter of Amos and I would think that Eva Bartlet would know who her parents and grandparents were. So we will continue Huldah and her husband, Orson Bartlett, under Amos. How many other children of Diodorus are confused with Amos' children?

Huldah Holcombe was born in 1834. She was the daughter of Amos Bull Holcombe and Harriett Barber. Huldah Holcombe married Orson Bartlett in 1868.

     Thomas Holcombe was born in 1836 at Cornwall, Litchfield Co., CT. He was the son of Amos Bull Holcombe and Harriett Barber.

     Horace Holcombe was born in 1838. He was the son of Amos Bull Holcombe and Harriett Barber.

     William Henry Holcombe was born in 1839 at Westport, Essex Co., NY. He was the son of Amos Bull Holcombe and Harriett Barber. William Henry Holcombe married Lizzie Daily.²

McPherson has this William - word for word - in two different places. On page 199.1, son of Amos Bull Holcombe; and on page 72.2, son of Samuel Darrow Holcombe.

However, Pat Sorrels, a great-grandchild, supports the descent from Amos Bull Holcombe. Pat has letters that William wrote to his wife from places like Chattanooga while he was in the civilian Transportatioin Corps during the Civil War.

William H. and Lizzie were enumerated in the 1870 Wyandotte Ward 2, Wyandotte Co., KS, federal census. He was a Railroad Conductor, age 31, she was 28. Children in the household were William 6, and Frank 3. There were other railroad workers boarding at the house.

William and Lizzie were enumerated in the 1880 Wyandotte 1st Ward, Wyandotte Co., KS, federal census. He was a Stock Dealer, age 42, she was 38. Children in the household were Willie, 16, Frank 13, Lewis 9, and Roy 5. This census indicated that Lizzie was born in Ireland.

Widow Lizzie was enumerated in the 1900 district 147, Kansas City Ward 2, Wyandotte Co., KS, federal census. She was 57. Also in the household were Louis 29, and William 36 (widowed).

Elizabeth was enumerated in the 1910 Kansas City, Wyandotte, KS, federal census. She was 66. Lewis B. 39, was also in the household.

     Hiram Niles Holcombe was born on 16 October 1847 at Westport, Essex Co., NY. He was the son of Amos Bull Holcombe and Harriett Barber. Hiram Niles Holcombe lived at Jackson Co., OH.

     Orson Bartlett was born in 1830. He married Huldah Holcombe, daughter of Amos Bull Holcombe and Harriett Barber, in 1868. Orson Bartlett died in 1873.

     Eva Bartlett was born at Wyandotte, KS. She was the daughter of Orson Bartlett and Huldah Holcombe. Eva Bartlett was a member in 1913 at DAR; 105943, Washington, DC.

     Rufus Washburn Allen was born in 1863.³ He was the son of Charles Willard Allen and Ruth E. Beach. Rufus Washburn Allen married Edith Jagger in 1887.³

     Edith Jagger was born in 1866. She married Rufus Washburn Allen, son of Charles Willard Allen and Ruth E. Beach, in 1887.¹

     Pearl Leota Allen was born at Camden, OH.³ She was the daughter of Rufus Washburn Allen and Edith Jagger. Pearl Leota Allen was a member in 1929 at DAR; 108703, Washington, DC.

     Joseph Beach was born in 1831. He was the son of Benjamin Beach and Mary Holcombe. Joseph Beach married Martha S. Chandler in 1854.¹ Joseph Beach died in 1909.¹

     Emma Grover was born in 1834. She married Elihu Briggs, son of Uriah Briggs and Mary Holcombe, in 1859. Emma Grover died in 1904.

     Ada Briggs was born at Delevan, IL. She was the daughter of Elihu Briggs and Emma Grover. Ada Briggs was a member in 1914 at DAR; 109571, Washington, DC.

     Chloe Thrall was born on 28 July 1772 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Ezekiel Trhall. Chloe Thrall married Japhet Case, son of Richard Case and Ruth Case, on 16 July 1794 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Chloe Thrall died on 29 August 1855 at Barkhamsted, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 83.
