     Abiah (Abijah) Ingersoll was born on 24 August 1663. She was the daughter of John Ingersoll and Abigail Bascom. Abiah (Abijah) Ingersoll married Jedediah Strong Jr., son of Jedediah Strong and Freedom Woodward, on 8 November 1688. Abiah (Abijah) Ingersoll died on 2 November 1732 at age 69.

     John Ingersoll married Dorothy Lord, daughter of Thomas Lord and Dorothy Bird, circa 1651. John Ingersoll married Mary Hunt, daughter of John Hunt and Mary Webster, circa 1667. John Ingersoll died on 3 September 1684 at Westfield, MA.

John Ingersoll, was first of Hartford, Conn.,--then of Northampton, Mass., to which place he removed about 1655, and then of Westfield, Mass., to which place he removed form Northampton, in or about 1655, was thrice married.

     Stephen Strong was born on 24 November 1690 at Northampton, MA. He was the son of Jedediah Strong Jr. and Abiah (Abijah) Ingersoll. Stephen Strong married Abigail Buell, daughter of Deacon John Buell and Mary Loomis, on 16 January 1718. Stephen Strong died on 2 February 1785 at Lebanon, New London Co., CT, at age 94.

Five of their children: Lydia, Peter, Abel, Hannah, and Reuben, died within ten days of each other of "the black throat distempter," as it was called. For an account of this scourge which began in 1734, and ravaged the country for several years, sweeping off children in large numbers, and sometimes obliterating in a few days large families of them, see Trumbull's History of Connecticut, vol. ii, p. 137, etc. Lydia Strong d.
