      Amoret Kellogg was also known as Amorette P. Kellogg.¹ She was born at MA. She married Loomis Holcombe, son of Roger Hiel Holcombe and Sophia Loomis, on 29 November 1843 at Westfield, Hampden Co., MA.¹

     Frederick K. Holcombe was born on 2 October 1848 at Westfield, Hampden Co., MA.¹ He was the son of Loomis Holcombe and Amoret Kellogg.

Frederick and Emma were enumerated in the 1880 Westfield, Hampden Co., MA federal census (NA film T9-0535, page 71C). He was 31, she was 25. Children in the household were Sadie B. 8, and Willie 4.

     Brainerd L. Holcombe was born on 10 October 1846 at Westfield, Hampden Co., MA.¹ He was the son of Loomis Holcombe and Amoret Kellogg.

     Howard Holcombe was born. He was the son of Loomis Holcombe and Amoret Kellogg.

      Eben Holcombe was also known as Eber O. Holcombe.¹ He was born on 25 November 1862 at Westfield, Hampden Co., MA.¹ He was the son of Loomis Holcombe and Amoret Kellogg.

     Edward L. Allen was born in 1835. He was the son of Gilbert Allen and Caroline Owen. Edward L. Allen married Marietta Holcombe, daughter of Roger Hiel Holcombe and Sophia Loomis, in 1865.

     Ella M. Holcombe married William Taylor. Ella M. Holcombe was born in 1857.² She was the daughter of Monroe Holcombe and Anna Smith.

     William Taylor married Ella M. Holcombe, daughter of Monroe Holcombe and Anna Smith.

     Calista Holcombe was born in 1859.² She was the daughter of Roland Holcombe and Elizabeth Clark.

     Bertha A. Holcombe was born in 1872.² She was the daughter of Roland Holcombe and Elizabeth Clark.

     Roland Loomis was born on 28 June 1789.

     Louisa Hall was born at NY. She married Lester Holcombe, son of Roger Holcombe II and Zeruah Gillett.

     Anson Holcombe was born on 6 May 1826 at NY. He was the son of Lester Holcombe and Louisa Hall.

     Lovina Holcombe was born on 6 November 1828 at NY. She was the daughter of Lester Holcombe and Louisa Hall. Lovina Holcombe died on 5 March 1838 at age 9.

     Lovina Louisa Holcombe was born in June 1840 at NY. She was the daughter of Lester Holcombe and Louisa Hall.

     Julia Maria Holcombe was born on 5 March 1843 at NY. She was the daughter of Lester Holcombe and Louisa Hall.

     Calvin is recorded in the 1840 census of Paris, Portage Co., OH, as under 50 with 2 males under 5 and 1 under 10; females, 1 under 10, 3 under 15, and 1 under 40.

There is apparently some confusion as there is a third Calvin recorded in the 1850 Census of Nelson, Portage Co., OH, born in CT 1816-17 with wife Harriet and two children. Calvin Holcombe II was born on 23 July 1799 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Calvin Holcombe and Eunice Reed.

     Moved "in a covered wagon" from Granby, Ct, to Paris, Portage Co., OH, where he and family are recorded int he 1840 and 1850 censuses as a farmer, in 1850 owning real estate. Jarvin Holcombe was born on 6 April 1801 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Calvin Holcombe and Eunice Reed. Jarvin Holcombe married Candace Delong on 24 April 1823. Jarvin Holcombe died in 1850.

     Harvey Holcombe was born on 11 February 1803 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Calvin Holcombe and Eunice Reed. Harvey Holcombe married Sarah McArthur. Harvey Holcombe lived in 1890 at Newton Falls, Trumbull Co., OH.

Harvey is recorded in the censuses for Paris, Portage Co., OH for 1840, 1850, and 1860. In 1860 he was shown as owner of real estate.

     Eunice Holcombe was born on 24 February 1807 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Calvin Holcombe and Eunice Reed.

     

McPherson reports that there is some confusion about Watson's wife because there was an older Watson reported as an American soldier in the War of 1812.

In the 1870 census Electa L. Holcombe, b. Ohio 1825-26 was apparently his wife, although one report shows Watson Holcombe married 1859, Susan E. Jones, b. Ohio 1840-41. Watson Holcombe was born on 24 January 1809 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Calvin Holcombe and Eunice Reed.

     Chester is recorded in the 1850 census of Paris, Portage Co., OH as a farmer owning real estate. Chester Reuben Holcombe was born on 24 November 1813 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Calvin Holcombe and Eunice Reed.

     Martin Dennis Holcombe was born on 15 June 1818 at Paris, Portage Co., OH. He was the son of Calvin Holcombe and Eunice Reed.

     Candace Delong was born at VT. She married Jarvin Holcombe, son of Calvin Holcombe and Eunice Reed, on 24 April 1823.

     Unknown Holcombe was born at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. Unknown Holcombe was the child of Jarvin Holcombe and Candace Delong.

     Martin Allen Holcombe was born on 27 January 1826 at Paris, Portage Co., OH.² He was the son of Jarvin Holcombe and Candace Delong. Martin Allen Holcombe married Philancia Patchin, daughter of (?) Patchin and (?) Pike, on 7 February 1849.² Martin Allen Holcombe died after 26 November 1901 at Kent Co., MI.²

Martin is recorded as a farmer owning real estate in the 1850 census of Paris, Portage Co., OH, where he then lived in the hotel of Hiram Adams; late in life he was a farmer living near Alto, Kent Co., MI, having moved there in Mar 1855. When he enrolled Aug 3, 1862 at Bowne, Kent Co., MI, for 3 years in Co. I, 26th Regt., Mich. Vol. Inf; mustered Sept 16, 1862 he was described as 5 ft 6 in tall; of light complexion, blue eyes and dark hair, weighing 120 pounds; served as Corp'l; fought at Spotsylvania Court House, Va., where a musket ball entered the outer side of his right leg 2 in below the knee, which was removed from the middle third surface. This caused continuous abcess. He was captured; was discharged at Detroit, MI, Sept 11, 1865; lived at Bowne, MI, Mar 2, 1890 and at Freeport, Barry Co., MI, Nov 26, 1901, then a widower, age 76 years.

Martin and "Filancy" were enumerated in the Browne, Kent Co., MI, federal census. He was a farmer, age 30, she was 30. Children in the household were George 5, and Dennis 2.

Martin and Philansia were enumerated in the 1870 Browne, Kent Co., MI, federal census. He was a farmer age 44, she was 41. Children in the household were George 15, Gilman 13, Emily 8, and Candice 3.

     Emily E. Holcombe was born in 1828 at Paris, Portage Co., OH. She was the daughter of Jarvin Holcombe and Candace Delong.

     Judson was a violin maker. He moved to Hudson, Summit Co., OH. Judson Holcombe was born on 28 December 1830 at Paris, Portage Co., OH. He was the son of Jarvin Holcombe and Candace Delong.

     Justin is recorded in the 1850 census of Freedom Twp., Portage Co., OH as wagon maker, living in home of Harvey M. Burroughs. Justin W. Holcombe was born at Paris, Portage Co., OH. He was the son of Jarvin Holcombe and Candace Delong.

     Henry Clay Holcombe was born at Paris, Portage Co., OH. He was the son of Jarvin Holcombe and Candace Delong.

     Alonzo Holcombe was born at Paris, Portage Co., OH. He was the son of Jarvin Holcombe and Candace Delong.

     Jarvin is recorded in the 1860 census of Hudson, Sumit Co., OH as an apprentice carpenter. Jarvin Holcombe II was born at Paris, Portage Co., OH. He was the son of Jarvin Holcombe and Candace Delong.

     Frederick Holcombe was born. He was the son of Jarvin Holcombe and Candace Delong.

     Philancia Patchin was born circa 1828 at OH.¹ She was the daughter of (?) Patchin and (?) Pike. Philancia Patchin married Martin Allen Holcombe, son of Jarvin Holcombe and Candace Delong, on 7 February 1849.²

     George Brooks Holcombe was born circa 25 August 1855; based on age at death. He was the son of Martin Allen Holcombe and Philancia Patchin. George Brooks Holcombe died on 20 January 1873 at Kent Co., MI; inflamation of the lungs.¹

     David Denmon Holcombe was born on 2 March 1855 at Kent Co., MI.¹ He was the son of Martin Allen Holcombe and Philancia Patchin.¹ David Denmon Holcombe married Lydia Jane English, daughter of Charles English and Mary Park, on 18 October 1887.¹ David Denmon Holcombe died circa 1944 at Kent Co., MI.¹

     Gilman Holcombe was born circa 1856 at MI.¹ Gilman Holcombe was the child of Martin Allen Holcombe and Philancia Patchin.

     Emily C. Holcombe married William K. Morgan. Emily C. Holcombe was born on 3 November 1861 at MI.¹ She was the daughter of Martin Allen Holcombe and Philancia Patchin.
