     John Stiles was born on 10 December 1665 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of John Stiles and Dorcas Burt. John Stiles died on 20 May 1753 at North Haven, New Haven Co., CT, at age 87.

     The genealogist and author. Henry Reed Stiles AM MD was born on 10 March 1832 at New York City, NY. He was the son of Samuel Stiles and Charlotte Sophia Reed. Henry Reed Stiles AM MD married Sarah Woodward, daughter of Rev. Charles M. Wodward, on 31 January 1856.

     Sarah Woodward was the daughter of Rev. Charles M. Wodward. Sarah Woodward married Henry Reed Stiles AM MD, son of Samuel Stiles and Charlotte Sophia Reed, on 31 January 1856.

     Relief Hawley was born on 5 June 1787. She was the daughter of Ezekiel Hawley and Huldah Spicer.

     Emily Bowman was born in 1821. She was the daughter of Samuel Bowman and Relief Hawley. Emily Bowman married Chester S. Smith on 3 December 1840. Emily Bowman died on 22 October 1858 at Waitsfield, VT.

     Chester S. Smith married Emily Bowman, daughter of Samuel Bowman and Relief Hawley, on 3 December 1840. Chester S. Smith died on 4 September 1848 at Waitsfield, VT.

     Diantha Smith was born in 1847 at Waitsfield, VT. She was the daughter of Chester S. Smith and Emily Bowman. Diantha Smith married Seymour Kneeland on 3 July 1866 at Waitsfield, VT. Diantha Smith died in March 1911 at Lowell, MA.

     Seymour Kneeland was born on 17 September 1845 at Waterbury, VT. He married Diantha Smith, daughter of Chester S. Smith and Emily Bowman, on 3 July 1866 at Waitsfield, VT. Seymour Kneeland died in February 1924 at Lowell, MA, at age 78.

     Winifred Kneeland was born on 25 February 1870 at Waitsfield, VT. She was the daughter of Seymour Kneeland and Diantha Smith. Winifred Kneeland married Arthur Bartlett on 12 March 1895 at Lowell, MA. Winifred Kneeland died on 23 September 1941 at Lowell, MA, at age 71.

     Arthur Bartlett was born on 17 March 1869 at Lowell, MA. He married Winifred Kneeland, daughter of Seymour Kneeland and Diantha Smith, on 12 March 1895 at Lowell, MA. Arthur Bartlett died on 24 March 1958 at Lowell, MA, at age 89.

     Ray Bartlett was born on 28 March 1897 at Lowell, MA. He was the son of Arthur Bartlett and Winifred Kneeland. Ray Bartlett married Florence Weinbeck on 2 November 1918 at Lowell, MA. Ray Bartlett died in May 1985 at Ft. Lauderdale, FL, at age 88.

     Florence Weinbeck was born on 12 March 1897 at Lowell, MA. She married Ray Bartlett, son of Arthur Bartlett and Winifred Kneeland, on 2 November 1918 at Lowell, MA. Florence Weinbeck died on 16 January 1973 at Ft. Lauderdale, FL, at age 75.

     Helen Dean Hetu was born on 26 March 1921 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Joseph L. Hetu and Marjorie L. Dean. Helen Dean Hetu married Mortimer Louis Holcombe, son of Louis Herman Holcombe and Grace King Jennings, on 28 October 1939 at West Granby, Granby, Hartford Co., CT. Helen Dean Hetu was buried on 26 February 1977 at Granby Center Cemetery; B-144, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Courant obituary, Friday, June 17, 1960. Sandra Joyce Holcombe was born on 5 December 1943 at Hartford, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Mortimer Louis Holcombe and Helen Dean Hetu. Sandra Joyce Holcombe died Thursday, June 16, 1960 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was buried Saturday, June 18, 1960 at Granby Center Cemetery; B-144, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Hannah Kingsbury was born on 17 April 1783. She married Alpheus Holcombe, son of Eli Holcombe and Hannah Crofut, on 22 November 1801 at Ulster, Bradford Co., PA. Hannah Kingsbury died on 18 October 1846 at age 63.

     Annie Agnes Kelley was born on 21 April 1896 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of William Kelley and Bridget Linnane. Annie Agnes Kelley married Ralph Ernest Holcombe, son of Frederick Mortimer Holcombe and Milly Russell, on 10 October 1927 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. Annie Agnes Kelley died on 17 May 1984 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT, at age 88. She was buried at Center Cemetery, Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.

     Margaret Mary Holcombe was born on 11 November 1934 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Ralph Ernest Holcombe and Annie Agnes Kelley. Margaret Mary Holcombe married Francis C. Brennan on 11 February 1961.¹ Margaret Mary Holcombe died on 24 May 2000 at Windsor, MA, at age 65.¹ She was buried on 26 May 2000 at Saint Josephs Cemetery, Pittsfield, Berkshire Co., MA.

"Margaret (Holcombe) Brennan, formerly of Churchill Crest, Pittsfield, MA, died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at the home of her son. She attended the local elementary schools and was a graduate of Simsbury High School. Continuing her education, she graduated from Hillyer College in Hartford. Most recently, she was employed as a secretary a the offices of Berkshire Orthopedic from 1980 until her retirement in 1992. A communicant of Sacred Heart Church, she was a member of its Rosary Sodalaity. A member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, she formerly volunteered with the B.M.C Auxilary."²

     Rita Colbert was born on 2 May 1918 at Hartford, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Michael Colbert and Annie Collins. Rita Colbert married Frederick Quirk Holcombe, son of Frederick Mortimer Holcombe and Nellie Agnes Quirk, on 3 October 1940 at St. Joseph's Cathedral, Hartford, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Rita Colbert died on 3 September 2006 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT, at age 88. She was buried on 7 September 2006 at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Tariffville, Hartford Co., CT.

Rita (Colbert) Holcombe, 88, of Firetown Road, Simsbury, wife of the late Frederick Q. Holcombe died Sunday, (September 3, 2006) at Manchester Manor. She was born May 2, 1918 in Hartford, daughter of the late Michael and Annie (Collins) Colbert and had lived in Hartford prior to moving to Simsbury many years ago. Mrs. Holcombe was a Medical Records Clerk at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and Rosary Guild and the Simsbury Home Arts Club, all of Simsbury. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Fred Michael and Sharon Holcombe of Andover; a daughter, Mary Ann Holcombe of Milton, MA; three grandchildren, Shawn Holcombe and his wife JoEllen of East Hampton, Bryan Holcombe and his wife Traci of Tolland and Maureen Jellinek and her husband Erik of Coventry and two great grandchildren, Ian and Matthew Jellinek. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, TODAY, September 6, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral will be Thursday, September 7, 8:15 a.m. from the Vincent Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Simsbury. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Tariffville.      Dorothy Freytag was born on 3 December 1919 at MA.¹ She married Whitney Paul Holcombe, son of Frederick Mortimer Holcombe and Nellie Agnes Quirk, on 14 September 1940 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.² Dorothy Freytag died on 17 November 1988 at West Hartford, Hartford Co., CT, at age 68.¹

     Helene Jeanne Guyen was born on 2 December 1919 at Noumea, New Caledonia.¹ She was the daughter of Henri N. Guyen and Victoire Aime Louis.¹ Helene Jeanne Guyen married Harold Goodwin Holcombe Jr., son of Harold Goodwin Holcombe and Ethel Percy Monson, on 5 September 1944 at Noumea, New Caledonia.¹
