     Hon. Luther Loomis was born on 27 July 1781 at Suffield, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Luther Loomis and Jemima Bronson.¹ Hon. Luther Loomis married Elizabeth Leavitt on 3 January 1810 at Suffield, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Hon. Luther Loomis died on 31 March 1866 at Suffield, Hartford Co., CT, at age 84.¹

Luther was a member of the Connecticut State Senate, as a member at large, from 1823-26. He was a merchant in New York City until the British drove him out during the War of 1812. Afterwards, he resided in Suffield. Once he was nominated for Governor. He served as Judge of Probate and as a member of the State House of Representatives. ¹

     Miram Barnard was the daughter of Edward Barnard and Mabel Pinney.

     Roxana Barnard was the daughter of Edward Barnard and Mabel Pinney.

     Francis Barnard was born on 9 September 1719. He was the son of Sgt. Joseph Barnard and Abigail Griswold. Francis Barnard married Lucretia Pinney in 1739. Francis Barnard died in 1789.

     Lucretia is possably the 4th child of Nathaniel and Elizabeth Pinney. Lucretia Pinney was born in 1722. She married Francis Barnard, son of Sgt. Joseph Barnard and Abigail Griswold, in 1739. Lucretia Pinney died in 1805.

     Francis Barnard was born in 1740. He was the son of Francis Barnard and Lucretia Pinney. Francis Barnard died in 1828.

     David Barnard married Deborah Winchel, daughter of Martin Winchel. David Barnard was born in 1747. He was the son of Francis Barnard and Lucretia Pinney.

     Deborah Winchel was the daughter of Martin Winchel. Deborah Winchel married David Barnard, son of Francis Barnard and Lucretia Pinney.

     Samuel Barnard married Roxanne Bainard, daughter of Edward Bainard. Samuel Barnard was born in 1749. He was the son of Francis Barnard and Lucretia Pinney. Samuel Barnard died in 1815.

     Moses Barnard married Hannah Bainard, daughter of Edward Bainard. Moses Barnard was born in 1750. He was the son of Francis Barnard and Lucretia Pinney. Moses Barnard died in 1812.

     Hannah Bainard was the daughter of Edward Bainard. Hannah Bainard married Moses Barnard, son of Francis Barnard and Lucretia Pinney.

     Ebenezer Barnard was born in 1757. He was the son of Francis Barnard and Lucretia Pinney. Ebenezer Barnard died in 1829.

     Elihu Barnard married Isabel Adams, daughter of Thomas Adams. Elihu Barnard was born in 1762. He was the son of Francis Barnard and Lucretia Pinney.

     Isabel Adams was the daughter of Thomas Adams. Isabel Adams married Elihu Barnard, son of Francis Barnard and Lucretia Pinney.

     Mary Cooley was born on 1 October 1685 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. She was the daughter of Joseph Cooley and Mary Griswold. Mary Cooley married Capt. Joseph Loomis, son of Deacon Joseph Loomis and Hannah Marsh, on 3 June 1710.

     Mabel Loomis was born on 6 March 1711 or 1712. She was the daughter of Capt. Joseph Loomis and Mary Cooley. Mabel Loomis married Lt. John Hurlburt, son of Thomas Hurlburt and Rebecca Meekins, on 1 October 1741.

     Lt. John Hurlburt was born in 1710. He was the son of Thomas Hurlburt and Rebecca Meekins. Lt. John Hurlburt married Mabel Loomis, daughter of Capt. Joseph Loomis and Mary Cooley, on 1 October 1741. Lt. John Hurlburt died on 20 April 1778.

     Kezia Loomis was born on 12 December 1715. She was the daughter of Capt. Joseph Loomis and Mary Cooley. Kezia Loomis married Zebulon King on 8 December 1743.

     Zebulon King married Kezia Loomis, daughter of Capt. Joseph Loomis and Mary Cooley, on 8 December 1743. Zebulon King died on 21 October 1793 at East Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.

     Loomis Dec, 1875 p 43 says Mary was dau. of Ezekiel and Mary Loomis of Lebanon, New London Co., CT and that Mary, dau. of Joseph m. Ebenezer Read. This was corrected in the 1908 edition citing Will of Capt. Joseph Loomis, mentioning Elijah Fitch as his son-in-law (John T. Fitch). Mary Loomis was born on 12 January 1720/21 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Capt. Joseph Loomis and Mary Cooley. Mary Loomis married Elijah Fitch, son of Ebenezer Fitch and Bridget Brown, on 28 October 1742 at East Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.

     Ebenezer Reed was born on 22 March 1734 at Norwich, New London Co., CT. He married Mary Fitch, daughter of Elijah Fitch and Mary Loomis, on 6 December 1759. Ebenezer Reed died on 11 March 1818 at age 83.

     Joseph Cooley II was born on 31 January 1686/87 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. He was the son of Joseph Cooley and Mary Griswold. Joseph Cooley II married Mary Dorchester, daughter of James Dorchester and Sarah Parsons, on 28 May 1713 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. Joseph Cooley II died on 19 October 1741 at Somers, CT, at age 54.

     Mary Dorchester was born on 30 September 1694 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. She was the daughter of James Dorchester and Sarah Parsons. Mary Dorchester married Joseph Cooley II, son of Joseph Cooley and Mary Griswold, on 28 May 1713 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. Mary Dorchester married Nathaniel Bliss, son of Samuel Bliss and Sarah Stebbins, on 6 December 1742 at "Missing Place" no. 6410. Mary Dorchester died on 2 April 1773 at "Missing Place" no. 6410 at age 78.

     Deborah Cooley was born on 22 February 1689/90 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. She was the daughter of Joseph Cooley and Mary Griswold. Deborah Cooley married Capt. Joshua Loomis, son of Thomas Loomis and Hannah Porter, on 26 October 1715 at Longmeadow, Hampden Co., MA. Deborah Cooley died on 26 January 1733 at age 42.

     Loomis: "He received a grant fo land in Tolland in 1713, and in 1737 he deeded 73 acres of land in Tolland to his son Joshua. He was appointed Capt. in 1731 . . ." Capt. Joshua Loomis was born on 6 November 1692. He was the son of Thomas Loomis and Hannah Porter. Capt. Joshua Loomis married Deborah Cooley, daughter of Joseph Cooley and Mary Griswold, on 26 October 1715 at Longmeadow, Hampden Co., MA. Capt. Joshua Loomis died on 26 December 1765 at East Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 73.

     Abigail Cooley was born on 22 February 1689/90 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. She was the daughter of Joseph Cooley and Mary Griswold. Abigail Cooley married Daniel Parsons, son of Joseph Parsons Jr. and Elizabeth Strong, on 2 June 1709. Abigail Cooley died on 8 June 1763 at age 73.

     Daniel Parsons was born on 18 August 1685. He was the son of Joseph Parsons Jr. and Elizabeth Strong. Daniel Parsons married Abigail Cooley, daughter of Joseph Cooley and Mary Griswold, on 2 June 1709. Daniel Parsons died on 27 January 1774 at age 88.
