Jane was enumerated in the 1880 Kendall, Monroe Co., WI, federal census, age 44. She was living next door to daughter Deborah Schollard.

     Julia E. (?) was born circa 1859 at AL. She married Burton Robertson.

     Mary Jane Goddard was born on 20 March 1838 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT.² She was the daughter of Byron Pitt Goddard and Abigail Phelps Segar.¹ Mary Jane Goddard married Edward Benton Case, son of Zelah Case and Jennette Collier Benton, on 5 July 1858 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.^3,4 Mary Jane Goddard died on 13 June 1867 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT, at age 29.^3,4

     Ella May Hays was born in June 1887 at OH.¹ She was the daughter of Perry O. Hays and Carrie E. Holcombe.¹

     Sarah (?) was born on 28 February 1754.¹ She married Noah Holcombe, son of John Holcombe and Mary Kent.¹ Sarah (?) died circa January 1835.¹ She was buried on 12 January 1835 at Granby Falls, CT.¹

     Rufus Holcombe was born circa 1837 at OH.¹ He was the son of Noah Holcombe III and Emily Crane.¹

Rufus and Sallie were enumerated in the 1870 Eaton Rapids, Eaton Co., MI, federal census. He was a farmer, age 34, she was 32. Children in the household were Ellen 9, and Horace 7.

Rufus and Sally were enumerated in the 1880 Eaton Rapids, Eaton Co., MI, federal census. He was a farmer, age 42, she was 36. Children in the household were Horace 17, and Abbie 6.

     Emma Holmes was born circa 1872 at KS.¹ She was the daughter of (?) Holmes and Mary Amanda Emmes.¹

     Emily A. Holcombe was born in June 1887 at WI.¹ She was the daughter of Clark W. Holcombe and Artemissa Buskirk.¹

     Maria Hunter was born on 2 March 1825. She married Asahel Holcombe, son of Noah Holcombe II and Eunice (?). Maria Hunter died on 28 August 1861 at age 36. She was buried at Knowles Cemetery, LaGrange, Lorain Co., OH.

     William Loomis was born on 8 November 1785 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Loomis and Chloe Brown.² William Loomis married Prudence Burr on 27 September 1807.¹ William Loomis died on 29 January 1824 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 38.¹

     Oscar Bingham was born in May 1850 at NY.¹ He married Ida Holcombe, daughter of Nahum Holcombe and Matilda Hastings, circa 1888.¹

     Henry Pagrave married Anne Glemham, daughter of John Glemham and Eleanor Brandon.¹

     Eliza Goddard was born on 29 August 1848 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Oren Goddard and Minerva Holcombe.¹

     Mabel Wilkenson was born circa 1895 at MT.¹ She was the daughter of (?) Wilkenson and Clara Maggie Holcombe.¹

     Cornelius Van Schaack Roosevelt was born on 30 January 1794 at New York City, NY.¹ He was the son of James J. Roosevelt and Maria Van Schaack.¹ Cornelius Van Schaack Roosevelt married Margaret Barnhill (?) on 9 October 1821 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., PA.¹ Cornelius Van Schaack Roosevelt died on 17 July 1871 at Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY, at age 77.¹

     Lt. Col. Beatrice Case was born on 11 January 1920 at Townville, Crawford Co., PA.¹ She was the daughter of Donald David Case and Hazel Dell Baker. Lt. Col. Beatrice Case died on 24 December 1994 at Dunedin, Pinellas Co., FL, at age 74.¹

CASE, Beatrice Lucille, of Dunedin, died Saturday Dec 24, 1994 at home. She was born in Townville, Pa and came here in 1973. She was a career Army officer, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. She was a World War II and Viet Nam veteran. She was a member of Wednesday Coffee Club, Dunedin Bowling League and Military Officers Organization. Survivors include two nieces Molly Case and Cathleen March, a nephew Donald Case and six great-nieces and great-nephews. American Burial and Cremation Service, Palm Harbor.

Aunt Bea's Letters From Ike
The late Beatrice Case advanced to the rank of Colonel in the United States Army. She began her stint as a physical therapist and saw duty in Germany and in the Pacific Theater during World War 11. She danced with Patten! Bea opted for a career after the war and was stationed in various places including Arizona, Alaska and the Carolinas. When trouble surfaced in Viet Nam, she traveled there and did two stints in an army hospital. Taking breaks from her global assignments she would visit family in Lockport,often staying at the home of Lockport Pager, Cathy Case March. During the course of her army career she spent significant time with Dwight David Eisenhower, former General-Of-The-Army and United States President. "Ike" engaged her services as an Army physical therapist to relieve the aches and pains of his aging body brought on during the War in Europe. The late President expressed his appreciation for Col. Case's services in a number of personal letters, some written and mailed from Gettysburg. Included in the rememerances sent along was a dedicated copy of his historical tome, Crusade In Europe pictured below with some of the letters.

     Mary Franklin Barrett was born on 25 August 1879 at NJ.^1,2 She was the daughter of Halsey M. Barrett and Mary Lucy Coe.¹

     Polly Higley was born circa 1786 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Seth Higley and Mindwell Higley.¹ Polly Higley died circa 1852.¹

     (?) Ennis married Carrie Baker.¹

     Gerald Holcombe Jr. was born on 11 November 1927.^1,2 He was the son of Gerald Thomas Holcombe and Myrtle Baker.¹ Gerald Holcombe Jr. died on 14 November 1927.^1,2 He was buried at IOOF Cemetery, Rock Falls, Whiteside Co., IL; SEc 12 N 1/2 Lot 15.²

     Benjamin Maltby married Elizabeth Fowler.¹

     Levi L. Holcombe was born on 13 April 1840 at Whitehall, Washington Co., NY.^1,2 He was the son of Levi Holcombe and Jane Wiley.¹ Levi L. Holcombe married Caroline Amelia Wade on 22 September 1864 at Granville, Washington Co., NY.² Levi L. Holcombe died on 11 January 1916 at Mount Holly, Rutland Co., VT, at age 75.²

Levi and Carrie were enumerated in the 1880 Mount Holly, Rutland Co., VT, federal census. He was a farmer, age 40, she was 34. children in the household were William H. 14, Flora A. 13, Olive A. 11, Ella M. 8, Bert 6, and Edward L. 4.


Levi and Carrie A. were enumerated in the 1910 Mt. Holly, Rutland Co., VT, federal census. He was a farmer age 80, she was 69. The household consisted of servant John Carlton, son Edward L. Holcombe, daughter-in-law Cora A., grandson Orville, grandson Gilbert, and son John F. 23. Son Bert was enumerated nearby. The census indicated that Carrie had eight children, all still living.

     Abraham Dow was born on 5 August 1797.² He was the son of Winthrop Dow Jr. and Mary Dow.¹ Abraham Dow married Jane Adaline Steele in 1826.^1,2

     Leonard Tompkins married Eunice Shephard.¹

     Jerusha Sexton was born on 11 October 1713. She was the daughter of Gershom Sexton and Abigail King. Jerusha Sexton married Isaac Cook Jr. on 13 October 1733.

     Isaac Cook III was born on 28 July 1739. He was the son of Isaac Cook Jr. and Jerusha Sexton. Isaac Cook III married Martha Cook in 1760.

Isaac and Martha were cousins.

     Rev. Joseph Morgan was born on 6 November 1671 at New London, New London Co., CT. He was the son of Joseph Morgan and Dorothy Parke. Rev. Joseph Morgan married Sarah Emmons.

     Dorothy Morgan was born on 24 July 1697 at Greenwich, Fairfield Co., CT. She was the daughter of Rev. Joseph Morgan and Sarah Emmons. Dorothy Morgan married Henry Van Kirk circa 1723. Dorothy Morgan died in 1745.

     Mary Sumner was the daughter of Edward Sumner and Elizabeth Clapp. Mary Sumner married Thomas Balch.

     Sean Flynn was born on 31 May 1941. He was the son of Errol Leslie Thompson Flynn and Liliane Marie Madeleine Carré. Sean Flynn died at Cambodia.

Sean, a photographer for Time/Life, disappeared in Cambodia in April 1970; he was declared legally dead in 1984.

     Asenath Fitch Chipman was born on 1 September 1795 at Richmond, Ontario Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Dr. Lemuel Chipman and Jesina Fitch.¹ Asenath Fitch Chipman married Dr. Cyrus Wells, son of Capt. Cyrus Wells and Rhoda Pettibone, on 24 December 1817 at Richmond, Ontario Co., NY.¹ Asenath Fitch Chipman died on 17 March 1883 at Howell, Livingston Co., MI, at age 87.¹

     John Sylvester Langenbach was born circa 1903. He was the son of John Albert Langenbach and Ellen Ellis. John Sylvester Langenbach married Dorothy Ellen Rigg.
