     DeForest Charles Alderman was born on 22 June 1914 at Morgantown, WV.^1,2 He was the son of William Horace Alderman and Margaret Chamberlayne.¹ DeForest Charles Alderman married Zora Alice Barrons on 20 August 1938.¹ DeForest Charles Alderman died on 24 March 1977 at Contra Costa Co., CA, at age 62.

Deforest later made his home in Wooster, OH.³

     Major Alderman was born on 18 December 1820 at NY.^1,2 He was the son of Bucklin Alderman and Mary Sterling.¹ Major Alderman married Eliza (?).² Major Alderman died on 14 September 1860 at age 39.¹

The Alderman Genealogy gives the date of birth of Major as 1820. The 1850 Commerce, Oakland Co., MI, federal census lists Major as age 40. This must certainly be the same person as his son is named for Major's deceased brother, Newton. Major's sister, Harriett, age 12 is also in the household.

     Eliza (?) was born circa 1812 at NY.¹ She married Major Alderman, son of Bucklin Alderman and Mary Sterling.¹

     Harriett Alderman was born on 21 March 1838.¹ She was the daughter of Bucklin Alderman and Mary Sterling.¹

     Newton Alderman was born on 2 December 1818.¹ He was the son of Bucklin Alderman and Mary Sterling.¹ Newton Alderman died on 28 October 1836 at age 17.¹

     Emma Alderman was born circa 1845 at MI.¹ She was the daughter of Major Alderman and Eliza (?).¹

     Mary Alderman was born circa 1847 at MI.¹ She was the daughter of Major Alderman and Eliza (?).¹

     Newton Alderman was born circa 1848 at MI.¹ He was the son of Major Alderman and Eliza (?).¹

     William Alderman was born on 13 November 1825.¹ He was the son of Bucklin Alderman and Mary Sterling.¹

William and Emily are apparently the ones enumerated in the 1850 Milford, Oakland Co., MI, federal census with no children yet in the family.

     Lucinda Alderman was born on 15 March 1823.¹ She was the daughter of Bucklin Alderman and Mary Sterling.¹ Lucinda Alderman died on 7 March 1852 at age 28.¹

     Abraham Alderman was born on 24 April 1828 at Canada.^1,2 He was the son of Bucklin Alderman and Mary Sterling.¹ Abraham Alderman married Lydia Maynard on 1 January 1849 at Farmington, MI.¹ Abraham Alderman died on 11 January 1881 at age 52.¹ He was buried at Orleans, Ionia Co., MI.

Abraham and Lydia were enumerated in the 1860 Ionia, Ionia Co., MI, federal census. He was a sheriff and jailer, age 32, she was 28. Children in the household were Frank 7, Ida 3, and Abram Jr. 1.

Abraham and Lydia were enumerated in the 1870 Ionia Village, Ionia Co., MI, federal census, page 61. He was the sheriff age 42, she was 39. Abraham was the enumerator. Children in the household were Frank 17 and Ida 13.

     Lydia Maynard was born in 1831 at NY.² She married Abraham Alderman, son of Bucklin Alderman and Mary Sterling, on 1 January 1849 at Farmington, MI.¹

     Curtis Leroy Alderman was born on 22 August 1830.¹ He was the son of Bucklin Alderman and Mary Sterling.¹ Curtis Leroy Alderman died on 25 February 1848 at age 17.¹

     Lorena Alderman was born on 19 January 1833.¹ She was the daughter of Bucklin Alderman and Mary Sterling.¹ Lorena Alderman died on 21 December 1842 at age 9.¹

     Harold H. Holcombe was born on 13 March 1904 at Stanton, Montcalm Co., MI.¹ He was the son of Benoni E. Holcombe and Margaret Nellie Willis.¹ Harold H. Holcombe died on 11 December 1906 at Stanton, Montcalm Co., MI, at age 2.¹

     Edna Helen Margaret Holcombe was born on 8 May 1905 at Stanton, Montcalm Co., MI.¹ She was the daughter of Benoni E. Holcombe and Margaret Nellie Willis.¹ Edna Helen Margaret Holcombe died on 29 December 1992 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI, at age 87.¹
