     Margaret Benham Holcombe was born on 23 January 1860 at Windham, Greene Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Norman Van Buren Holcombe and Mahala Phelps.¹ Margaret Benham Holcombe married William B. Frayer, son of Danforth M. Frayer and Permilla Kimble, on 1 January 1877.¹ Margaret Benham Holcombe married Philip Derringer on 26 December 1888.¹

     Hannah Holcombe was born on 18 November 1861 at Maplecrest, Greene Co., NY.^1,2 She was the daughter of Norman Van Buren Holcombe and Mahala Phelps.¹ Hannah Holcombe married Rev. John H. Caughn on 12 August 1878.¹ Hannah Holcombe died on 2 November 1950 at Geneva, NY, at age 88.² She was buried on 6 November 1950 at Glenwood Cemetery, Geneva, NY.²

J. H. Caughn was a Union soldier and Episcopal minister of Geneva, NY.

     Charlotte Ida Holcombe was born on 22 March 1867 at Windham, Greene Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Norman Van Buren Holcombe and Mahala Phelps.¹ Charlotte Ida Holcombe married Henry Jordan, son of James Jordan and Ada (?), on 29 March 1886 at Hensonville, Greene Co., NY.² Charlotte Ida Holcombe died on 31 October 1951 at age 84.³

They lived in Grand Gorge, NY circa 1925.³

     Aleta Holcombe was born on 2 January 1868 at Windham, Greene Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Norman Van Buren Holcombe and Mahala Phelps.¹ Aleta Holcombe died on 26 July 1875 at age 7; diptheria.¹ She was buried at Maplecrest Cemetery, Maplecrest, Greene Co., NY.²

     Frances M. Holcombe was born on 31 December 1869 at Windham, Greene Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Norman Van Buren Holcombe and Mahala Phelps.¹ Frances M. Holcombe died on 7 July 1890 at age 20; diptheria.¹ She was buried at Maplecrest Cemetery, Maplecrest, Greene Co., NY.²

     Pearl Holcombe was born on 3 April 1877 at Windham, Greene Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Norman Van Buren Holcombe and Mahala Phelps.¹ Pearl Holcombe married Charles H. Chatfield, son of John Henry Chatfield and Margaretta (?), on 5 September 1893.²

Pearl and 'Jake' have a gravestone in Fairlwan Cemetery, Prattsville, NY; however, no death dates were ever insribed. The reverse of the stone lists other Chatfields, presumably his brother's family.³

Charles H. and Pearl were enumerated in the 1920 Prattsville, Greene Co., NY federal census, page 1A. Charles was a farmer age 53, Pearl was 42. Children in the household were Frences M. age 21, and Dorothea A. age 17.

      Mahala Mae Holcombe was also known as Mahala May Holcombe. She was born on 16 June 1872 at Maplecrest, Greene Co., NY.^1,2 She was the daughter of Norman Van Buren Holcombe and Mahala Phelps.¹ Mahala Mae Holcombe married Charles Layman, son of Addison Layman and Adelia (?), on 3 September 1892 at Prattsville, Greene Co., NY.³ Mahala Mae Holcombe died on 2 August 1965 at Prattsville, Greene Co., NY, at age 93.² She was buried on 5 August 1965 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Prattsville, Greene Co., NY.²

     Norman Van Buren Holcombe II was born on 16 April 1883 at Windham, Greene Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Norman Van Buren Holcombe and Mahala Phelps.¹ Norman Van Buren Holcombe II died on 25 November 1884 at age 1.¹ He was buried at Maplecrest Cemetery, Maplecrest, Greene Co., NY.²

     William B. Frayer was born circa 1844 at NY.² He was the son of Danforth M. Frayer and Permilla Kimble. William B. Frayer married Margaret Benham Holcombe, daughter of Norman Van Buren Holcombe and Mahala Phelps, on 1 January 1877.¹ William B. Frayer died on 9 November 1884.¹ He was buried at Lower Cemetery, Prattsville, Greene Co., NY.

     Beulah E. Frayer was born on 29 October 1879 at Plattsville, Greene Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of William B. Frayer and Margaret Benham Holcombe.¹

     Frances Mable Derringer was born on 15 March 1890 at Catskill, Greene Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Philip Derringer and Margaret Benham Holcombe.¹ Frances Mable Derringer married Andrew C. Fenton on 28 November 1912.²

Frances graduated from Albany, NY, Law School, 1921; admitted to bar June 10, 1924. Andrew graduated Union College 1900, Albany Law School, 1902. Both practiced at Margaretville, NY.³

     Charles H. Chatfield was born in September 1866 at Prattsville, Greene Co., NY.^1,2,3 He was the son of John Henry Chatfield and Margaretta (?).¹ Charles H. Chatfield married Pearl Holcombe, daughter of Norman Van Buren Holcombe and Mahala Phelps, on 5 September 1893.¹

     Henry Jordan was born on 13 December 1861.¹ He was the son of James Jordan and Ada (?).¹ Henry Jordan married Charlotte Ida Holcombe, daughter of Norman Van Buren Holcombe and Mahala Phelps, on 29 March 1886 at Hensonville, Greene Co., NY.¹ Henry Jordan died in 1936.² He was buried at Fairlawn Cemetery, Prattsville, Greene Co., NY.²
