Horace was enumerated in the 1880 Granby, Hartford Co., CT, census, age 51, Laura was 45, Cora was 19. Horace was listed as born in CT, but the earlier records would indicate MA. Horace's mother-in-law, Thoedocia Reed, age 84, was also in the household. This could be Theodosia Holcomb, widow of Nelson Reed, daughter of Jacob and Theodosia (Bacon) Holcombe.
