     Sally Wilbur was born circa 1767. She married Dr. Asahel Cooley, son of Capt. Asahel Cooley and Sarah Merwin, on 4 August 1793.¹ Sally Wilbur died on 3 May 1854 at Perry, Wyoming Co., NY.² She was buried at Hope Cemetery, Perry, Wyoming Co., NY.²

Sally's gravestone in the Hope cemetery gives her death data as 1858 but it was 1854 according to Arthur Cooley.

     Son Johnson was born. He was the son of James Talbot Johnson and Kate Miriam Holcombe. Son Johnson died young.

     Vesta C. Smith was born in 1803.¹ She married Bidwell Alderman, son of Elijah Alderman and Dorcas Alderman.¹ Vesta C. Smith died in 1869.¹

     Henry Smith Alderman was born in 1826.¹ He was the son of Bidwell Alderman and Vesta C. Smith.¹ Henry Smith Alderman died in 1878.¹

     Charles Bidwell Alderman was born in 1828.¹ He was the son of Bidwell Alderman and Vesta C. Smith.¹ Charles Bidwell Alderman died in 1887.¹

     Gad Alderman was born on 5 January 1765 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Elijah Alderman and Deborah (?). Gad Alderman married Happy Buckley on 1 May 1783.³ Gad Alderman died on 19 July 1825 at West Springfield, Hampden Co., MA, at age 60.¹

Gad was serving as a member of Sheldon's Dragoons during the Revolutionary War in Fairfield, CT, when he met Happy. He enlisted in the Continental Army in 1781, served for four years, and his hororable discharge was signed by General George Washington. His children were born in East Granby, or in some part of Granby which had been set off from the town of Simsbury. He died in the home of his son, Bradley.⁴

     Happy Buckley was born on 31 May 1764 at Fairfield, Fairfield Co., CT.² She married Gad Alderman, son of Elijah Alderman and Deborah (?), on 1 May 1783.² Happy Buckley died on 13 July 1811 at age 47.²

     Solomon Flagg Alderman was born on 10 February 1817 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Harvey Alderman and Sally Holcombe.¹ Solomon Flagg Alderman died on 21 November 1846 at age 29.¹

     Sarah F. Alderman was born on 24 November 1839 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.³ She was the daughter of Solomon Flagg Alderman and Elizabeth Hastings.² Sarah F. Alderman married William Ansel Viets, son of Henry W. Viets and Lucia L. King, on 24 April 1859.⁴ Sarah F. Alderman died on 11 January 1936 at age 96.³ She was buried at Elmwood Cemetery, East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.³

     Deborah Alderman was born in 1756.¹ She was the daughter of Elijah Alderman and Deborah (?).¹ Deborah Alderman died on 19 July 1836.¹

     John Alderman was born on 19 June 1768.¹ He was the son of Elijah Alderman and Deborah (?).¹ John Alderman died on 1 October 1856 at age 88.¹

     Lott Alderman was born in 1770.¹ He was the son of Elijah Alderman and Deborah (?).¹ Lott Alderman married Mary Griswold, daughter of Joseph Griswold and Mary Alderman, in 1789.^1,2 Lott Alderman died on 15 November 1836.¹

Lott resided in East Granby, CT, where Mary, his wife, and their seven oldest children, Lott, Jr., Mary, Azrdius, Julia, Bucklin, Milo, and Anson, were baptized on February 11, 1803. The census of 1790 listed Lott as having an only child, a son under 16.³

     Mary Griswold was born circa 1752.^1,2 She was the daughter of Joseph Griswold and Mary Alderman. Mary Griswold married Lott Alderman, son of Elijah Alderman and Deborah (?), in 1789.^1,2

     Joseph Griswold was born circa 1726.¹ He was the son of Joseph Griswold.² Joseph Griswold married Mary Alderman, daughter of Joseph Alderman and Mindwell Case.¹ Joseph Griswold died on 8 March 1795 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Joseph Griswold was born on 28 December 1697 at Wethersfield, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Michael Griswold and Elizabeth Burnham.

     Delight Alderman was born in March 1773.¹ She was the daughter of Elijah Alderman and Deborah (?).¹ Delight Alderman died on 27 February 1857 at age 83.¹

     Rosanna Phelps was born in 1777.¹ She married Elijah Alderman, son of Elijah Alderman and Dorcas Alderman, in 1795.¹ Rosanna Phelps died in 1848.¹

     Abraham Holcombe II was born in 1795 at Canaan, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Abraham Holcombe and Betsey Bosworth.¹ Abraham Holcombe II married Susan Hubbard, daughter of Nathaniel Hubbard and Lucy Waful.²

Abram was said to have come to Andover Township in 1827; however, he is recorded in neighboring Cherry Valley township in 1830 and Wayne township in 1840. Also, despite seven children likely born before the 1840 census, only the first five children appear. Abraham eventually worked as miller and farmer in Andover. ³ McPherson records that the Hubbards came from NY to Conneaut OH in 1808.

McPherson lists the following children: Cyrus, Henry, James, Isaac, Marie, Edilda, Emma, Ira, Clinton, and Warren. The remainder are listed in Holcombs in Ashtabula County

Abram and Susan were enumerated in the 1850 Andover, Ashtabula Co., OH, federal census. He was a miller, age 54, born in MA; she was 44, born in NY. Children in the household, all born in OH, were Maria A. 18, a teacher, Cyrus B. 17, Henry 15, James I. 12, Isaac 11, Susan A. 9, and Emily J. 8.

Abraham and Susan were enumerated in the 1860 Andover, Ashtabula Co., OH, federal census, page 235. He was a farmer age 64, born in MA; she was 54, born in NY. All of the children listed were born in Ohio: Cyrus age 27, a oar finisher, Henry 25, Isaac 21, Edilda 19, Emily 18, Ira 6, and Clinton 3.

In the 1870 Andover, Ashtabula Co., OH, federal census, page 23, Henry is listed as the head of household, age 35. Ruby (wife?) was keeping house and there were two children, Clarence 2, and Lee 11/12, both born in Ohio. Also in the household was Susan age 63, Edilda 29, and Emily 28.

     Lillian Morrison was born in 1857. She married Charles Lovejoy Holcombe, son of Bethuel Holcombe II and Elizabeth Weaver, in September 1875 at Decorah, Winneshiek Co., IA. Lillian Morrison died in 1917.

     Charles Albertus Nagle was born on 12 August 1904 at York Township, Fillmore Co., MN. He married Pansy Ruth Jones, daughter of Luther A. Jones and Maud Elizabeth Holcombe, on 11 April 1930 at Mason City, IA. Charles Albertus Nagle died on 4 September 1982 at Illini Hospital, Silvis, Rock Island Co., IL, at age 78.^1,2 He was buried on 7 September 1982 at Greenview Memorial Gardens, Hampton Township, Rock Island Co., IL.¹
