     Isaac Hosea Ensign was born on 22 March 1828 at Nelson, Putnam Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Joseph Case Ensign and Julia Brockway. Isaac Hosea Ensign married Eliza Helen Poor, daughter of Ebenezer Poor and Lucinda Ross, on 21 August 1852 or 22 August 1852.²

     Mary Laura Ensign was born on 22 August 1839 at Windham, Portage Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Case Ensign and Julia Brockway.¹ Mary Laura Ensign married Amos Burt Case.² Mary Laura Ensign died on 29 August 1859 at age 20.¹

The Case genealogy does not mention a first marriage of Amos to Mary Laura; however, Amos' Mother was Lucy Brockway, daughter of Hosea Brockway. Mary's mother was a Brockway and Mary's brother was named Isaac HOSEA Ensign. It seems likely that Lucy and Julia Brockway were sisters and the Amos Burt Case that married Mary Laura Ensign then, second, married Emeline Lucinda Barber.

     Amos Burt Case was born on 22 January 1837 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He married Mary Laura Ensign, daughter of Joseph Case Ensign and Julia Brockway.¹ Amos Burt Case married Emeline Lucinda Barber, daughter of Bigelow Barber and Tirzah Loveland, on 9 June 1868.^1,2 Amos Burt Case died on 16 August 1906 at age 69.^1,2

     Emeline Lucinda Barber was born on 13 April 1846.² She was the daughter of Bigelow Barber and Tirzah Loveland.² Emeline Lucinda Barber married Amos Burt Case on 9 June 1868.^1,2

     Bigelow Barber was born on 9 January 1809 at Barkhamsted, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ He married Tirzah Loveland on 3 September 1835 at Freedom, Portage Co., OH.¹ Bigelow Barber died on 6 March 1850 at Windham, Portage Co., OH, at age 41.¹

     Tirzah Loveland was born on 27 July 1815 at Otis, MA.¹ She married Bigelow Barber on 3 September 1835 at Freedom, Portage Co., OH.¹ Tirzah Loveland died on 6 April 1902 at age 86.¹

     William Woodworth was born on 4 March 1801 at Jefferson Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Joseph Woodworth and Waty Parks.¹ William Woodworth married Lurannah Mary Ensign, daughter of Isaac Ensign and Mary Case, on 31 August 1830 at Fenner, Madison Co., NY.¹ William Woodworth died on 13 October 1881 at Ellsworth, Pierce Co., WI, at age 80.¹

     Ashbel Hoskins Jr. was born in 1789.¹ He was the son of Ashbel Hoskins and Rachel Marvin.¹ Ashbel Hoskins Jr. married Love Ensign, daughter of Isaac Ensign and Mary Case, on 20 September 1817.¹ Ashbel Hoskins Jr. died in March 1881.¹

     Sally Hoskins was born circa 1818.¹ She was the daughter of Ashbel Hoskins Jr. and Love Ensign.¹

     Lurannah Hoskins was born circa 1819.¹ She was the daughter of Ashbel Hoskins Jr. and Love Ensign.¹ Lurannah Hoskins died circa 1838.¹

     Ashbel Isaac Hoskins was born in November 1827.¹ He was the son of Ashbel Hoskins Jr. and Love Ensign.¹

     Milton C. Woodworth was born on 28 October 1832 at Fenner, Madison Co., NY.¹ He was the son of William Woodworth and Lurannah Mary Ensign. Milton C. Woodworth married Mary Perkins.²

     Lauren Dewey Woodworth was born on 10 September 1837 at Fenner, Madison Co., NY.¹ He was the son of William Woodworth and Lurannah Mary Ensign. Lauren Dewey Woodworth married Celia A. Clark, daughter of Edward Clark and Mary Sayles, in August 1859.²

     Lurannah Almira Woodworth was born on 25 December 1839 at Windham, Portage Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of William Woodworth and Lurannah Mary Ensign. Lurannah Almira Woodworth married Richard McEwen on 23 December 1859.² Lurannah Almira Woodworth married Selah Strickland, son of Willis Strickland and Lucy Hawley, on 13 October 1881 at Brownton, MN; two children.²

     Waty Eliza Woodworth was born on 23 June 1842 at Windham, Portage Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of William Woodworth and Lurannah Mary Ensign. Waty Eliza Woodworth married Selah Strickland, son of Willis Strickland and Lucy Hawley, on 11 March 1862; two children.² Waty Eliza Woodworth died on 31 January 1875 at Fernandina, FL, at age 32.²

     William Dempster Woodworth was born on 25 May 1844 at Windham, Portage Co., OH.¹ He was the son of William Woodworth and Lurannah Mary Ensign. William Dempster Woodworth married Mary Loring in April 1870 at River Falls, Pierce Co., WI; two children.²

Ensign has William's birthdate as 1844 on one page and 1840 on another, but the birth sequence listed would indicate he was born after Waty.

     Florus Ensign Woodworth was born on 6 May 1846 at Windham, Portage Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of William Woodworth and Lurannah Mary Ensign.¹ Florus Ensign Woodworth died on 21 October 1858 at age 12.¹

     Rachel S. Case was born in February 1829 at Hartford, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Job Case and Abigail Griswold Phelps.¹ Rachel S. Case died on 5 July 1830 at age 1.¹

     Ariel Job Case was born on 3 June 1831 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.^1,2 He was the son of Job Case and Abigail Griswold Phelps. Ariel Job Case married Mary E. Thompson.³ Ariel Job Case died on 18 September 1875 at age 44.³

Ariel served as a 2nd Lt., Company H, 16th Connecticut Regiment, Volunteer Infantry. He enlisted 5 August 1862, mustered 24 August 1862, and mustered out 24 Jun 1865. He probably served at Antietam.

     Abigail Jane Case was born on 11 August 1846 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Job Case and Abigail Griswold Phelps.

     Oliver Case was born in 1840.¹ He was the son of Job Case and Abigail Griswold Phelps.¹ Oliver Case died on 17 September 1862 at Antietam.¹

Oliver was in the 8th Regt. Co. A., Conn. Volunteers.²

     Rev. Cyrus Barnes was born on 25 August 1801.¹ He married Wealthy Ensign, daughter of Zebe Ensign and Sarah Case, on 9 September 1836.¹ Rev. Cyrus Barnes died on 14 March 1864 at age 62.¹

     Mortimer Philip Barnes was born in 1837 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Rev. Cyrus Barnes and Wealthy Ensign.¹ Mortimer Philip Barnes died in infancy.¹

     Sally Malvina Barnes was born on 4 January 1839 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Rev. Cyrus Barnes and Wealthy Ensign. Sally Malvina Barnes married Alfred Wake on 18 October 1854.¹

     Alfred Wake was born on 20 June 1829.¹ He married Sally Malvina Barnes, daughter of Rev. Cyrus Barnes and Wealthy Ensign, on 18 October 1854.¹

     Melissa Luranna Barnes was born in 1840 at Nelson, Madison Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Rev. Cyrus Barnes and Wealthy Ensign.¹ Melissa Luranna Barnes died in infancy.¹

     Zebe Barnes was born in 1841 at Nelson, Madison Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Rev. Cyrus Barnes and Wealthy Ensign.¹ Zebe Barnes died in 1842.¹

     Cyrus Barnes was born on 10 June 1843 at Nelson, Madison Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Rev. Cyrus Barnes and Wealthy Ensign.¹ Cyrus Barnes died on 13 September 1862 at age 19.¹

     David Irving Barnes was born on 23 March 1845 at Nelson, Madison Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Rev. Cyrus Barnes and Wealthy Ensign.¹

     Oliver Cromwell Barnes was born on 18 August 1847 at Nelson, Madison Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Rev. Cyrus Barnes and Wealthy Ensign.

     Cornelia Antionette Barnes was born on 25 December 1849 at Nelson, Madison Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Rev. Cyrus Barnes and Wealthy Ensign. Cornelia Antionette Barnes married John Sloan Young on 9 September 1874.¹

     John Sloan Young was born on 26 April 1838.¹ He married Cornelia Antionette Barnes, daughter of Rev. Cyrus Barnes and Wealthy Ensign, on 9 September 1874.¹ John Sloan Young died on 17 April 1882 at age 43.¹

     Isabella Barnes was born on 29 September 1854 at Nelson, Madison Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Rev. Cyrus Barnes and Wealthy Ensign.¹ Isabella Barnes died on 14 October 1854.¹

     Harriet Hubbell was born on 10 April 1817 at Cuba, Allegheny Co., NY.¹ She married Sterling Ensign, son of Zebe Ensign and Sarah Case, on 13 September 1838.¹ Harriet Hubbell died in 1872.¹

     Granville D. Ensign was born on 13 June 1839 at Whitehall, Washington Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Sterling Ensign and Harriet Hubbell.¹ Granville D. Ensign died on 23 October 1849 at age 10.¹

     Persis Antionette Ensign was born on 12 February 1841 at Whitehall, Washington Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Sterling Ensign and Harriet Hubbell.¹ Persis Antionette Ensign died on 20 September 1845 at age 4.¹

     Mary E. Ensign was born on 23 March 1844 at Whitehall, Washington Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Sterling Ensign and Harriet Hubbell. Mary E. Ensign married Charles Kendal Parker, son of Cephas Parker and Zerviah Pitney, on 24 May 1866.² Mary E. Ensign died at Whitehall, Washington Co., NY.²

     Ellen L. Ensign was born on 11 November 1849 at Whitehall, Washington Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Sterling Ensign and Harriet Hubbell. Ellen L. Ensign married Edwin Moses Shurtleff on 14 July 1880 at Glens Falls, Warren Co., NY; no children.^3,2 Ellen L. Ensign died at Woodstock, Windsor Co., VT.³

     Eliza Ann Curry was born on 16 February 1816 at Hill Hall, County Down, Ireland.¹ She was the daughter of William Curry and Agnes Mercer.¹ Eliza Ann Curry married Isaac Newton Ensign, son of Zebe Ensign and Sarah Case, on 21 March 1843 at Eaton, Washington Co., NY.¹

     Victor Montgomery Ensign was born on 30 March 1845 at Whitehall, Washington Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Isaac Newton Ensign and Eliza Ann Curry.¹ Victor Montgomery Ensign died on 26 July 1845.¹

     Samuel Alonzo Ensign was born on 21 June 1850 at Whitehall, Washington Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Isaac Newton Ensign and Eliza Ann Curry.¹

     Hester Ann Sanford was born on 26 May 1823.¹ She married David C. Ensign, son of Zebe Ensign and Sarah Case, on 25 February 1849.¹ Hester Ann Sanford died on 17 August 1855 at age 32.¹
