     Israel Ellsworth Holliday Jr. was born circa 1800.¹ He was the son of Capt. Israel Ellsworth and Ann Bennett.¹ Israel Ellsworth Holliday Jr. married Nancy Morgan, daughter of Noah Morgan and Learner Fry, circa 1824.¹ Israel Ellsworth Holliday Jr. died on 20 May 1870 at Fayette Co., WV.¹

     Nancy Morgan was born circa 1809 at Culpepper Co., VA.¹ She was the daughter of Noah Morgan and Learner Fry.¹ Nancy Morgan married Israel Ellsworth Holliday Jr., son of Capt. Israel Ellsworth and Ann Bennett, circa 1824.¹ Nancy Morgan died in 1847 at Greenbrier Co., VA; in childbirth.¹

     

Charles enlisted in Company D, 26th Battalion, Virginia Infantry, (Edgar's Battalion, after Col. George Mathew Edgar who m. Rebecca Fry) on 28 April 1862 in White Sulfur Springs, (West) Virginia.

He was captured 28 May 1862 in Lewisburg, Virginia (First Battle of Lewisburg), sent from Camp Chase, Ohio toVicksburg to be exchanged, 26 August 1862.

Captured again, Lewisburg, Virginia on 9 May 1863 (perhaps in the Battle of Tuckwiller's Hill, which Col. Edgar referred to as "Battle of Handley's Hill, which occurred on or about 2 May 1863). Appeared on rolls at Atheneum Prison in Wheeling, VA; Depot Prisoners of War, near Sandusky, Ohio; Camp Chase, Ohio; Point Lookout, Maryland; Johnson's Island. Paroled at Point Lookout, Maryland and transferred to Aiken's Landing, VA, 18 September 1864 for exchange. Issued clothing at Chimborazo Hospital, Richmond, Virginia on 27 September 1864. He died of chronic diarrhea. The Giles Co. Historical society stated that Pearisburg Courthouse may have been the hospital and there is a Confederate graveyard, Angel's Rest Cemetery on West Wenonah Avenue, nearby with many anonymous or unmarked graves.¹ Charles Turner Holliday was born circa 1839 at Greenbrier Co., VA.¹ He was the son of Israel Ellsworth Holliday Jr. and Nancy Morgan.¹ Charles Turner Holliday died on 15 October 1864 at Pearisburg, Giles Co., VA.¹

     Robert Matthias Holliday was born on 3 March 1825 at Culpepper Co., VA.¹ He was the son of Israel Ellsworth Holliday Jr. and Nancy Morgan.¹ Robert Matthias Holliday died on 24 January 1903 at Fayette Co., WV, at age 77.¹

Honourable Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon married King George Windsor VI, son of King George Windsor V, on 26 April 1923 at Westminster Abbey, London, England. Honourable Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon died on 30 March 2002 at Royal Lodge, Windsor, England, at age 101.

     King George Windsor VI was born in 1895. He was the son of King George Windsor V. King George Windsor VI married Honourable Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon, daughter of Lord (?) Glamis, on 26 April 1923 at Westminster Abbey, London, England. King George Windsor VI died on 6 February 1952 at Sandringham. He was buried in 1952 at Windsor Castle.

     Princess Margaret Rose Windsor was born on 21 August 1930 at Glamis Castle. She was the daughter of King George Windsor VI and Honourable Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon. Princess Margaret Rose Windsor died on 9 February 2002 at King Edward VII Hospital at age 71; stroke. She was buried on 15 February 2002 at Windsor Castle; cremated.

     Patience Jenner was baptized in August 1692.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Jenner and Hannah Hinman.¹ Patience Jenner married Elnathan Strong, son of Thomas Strong and Rachel Holton, on 17 April 1712.¹

     Rev. Nathan Strong was baptized in April 1717.¹ He was the son of Elnathan Strong and Patience Jenner.¹ Rev. Nathan Strong married Esther Meacham, daughter of Rev. Joseph Meacham and Esther Williams, on 12 October 1746.¹ Rev. Nathan Strong died on 7 November 1795 at age 78.¹

Nathan graduated at Yale, in 1742, studied divinity with Rev. John Graham of Southbury, Ct; settled at Coventry, Ct., Oct. 9, 1745, pastor of the Second Congregational Church. He is described as "a man of acute penetration of mind and of solid judgment, and a man of great prudence and very successful in quieting disturbances in sister churches." He could not bear the thought of being forgotten by his descendants, and had a portrait of himself painted for each of his surviving children which are now in good preservation among their descendants. For the same reason he left a small legacy to each of his grandchildren living at his death.²
