     Douglas Case was born in March 1818 at Worthington, Franklin Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Dr. Calvin H. Case and Harriet Kilbourn.¹ Douglas Case died on 20 March 1860 at Auburn, NY.¹ He was buried at Rose Chapel Cemetery, Gambier, Knox Co., OH.¹

     Dr. Guy Buttles Case was born in August 1849.¹ He was the son of Douglas Case and Jane Morris.¹

     Julia Buttles was born circa 1824 at Worthington, Franklin Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Arora Buttles and Harriet Kilbourn.¹ Julia Buttles married Hamilton Lampere Smith on 6 December 1847 at Cuyahoga Co., OH.¹

     Levi Buttles was born on 18 July 1826 at Worthington, Franklin Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Arora Buttles and Harriet Kilbourn.² Levi Buttles married Jennie Elizabeth Wright, daughter of Aaron K. Wright and helen Ashmun, on 18 August 1858 at Hudson, Summit Co., OH.¹ Levi Buttles died on 11 June 1891 at Gambier, Knox Co., OH, at age 64.¹ He was buried at Rose Chapel Cemetery, Gambier, Knox Co., OH.¹
In October 18887 the surviving sons of this family legally restored their surnames to their great-grandfather's Buttolph.³

     Dr. Peleg Sisson married Mary Buttles, daughter of Levi Buttles and Sarah Phelps, on 3 July 1823 at Franklin Co., OH.¹ Dr. Peleg Sisson left a will in May 1848 at Franklin Co., OH. He died in October 1848 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH.¹ His estate was probated on 24 October 1848 at Franklin Co., OH.
Peleg served as a private in Capt. Joseph Treat's Company of the 21st U.S. Infantry Regiment during the War of 1812.²
